What I think About The Companions...

Bethesda delivers poorly in the introduction of the Companions when you get close to Whiterun. You get talked down to by Aela because you didn't help. They are the Companions, why would they need help from an outsider? All it does is make them look weak if I intervene.

All of Bethesda's guild quests in this game are not only extremely stupid, but also very annoying. In fact, the whole game is utterly moronic. Like everything else in their game, these so called Companions are nothing but a set decoration. All they do is wander around in WR and give you kill this or that, bring me five bear pelts kind of shit quests and occasionally show up as a random encounter killing bears or some other wildlife. Just like the TG and the college, they're pathetic.

They already have four other veteran members other than the idiots in the circle, and somehow they decide to take the PC into the circle and make him a werewolf. How utterly retarded. And that's really the only real benefit of joining their stupid guild. Complete their annoying quests and then kill them, that's what I'm gonna do.

By the way, I always play as a Breton/Forsworn so I particularly hate their nord antics, especially when they ask me to get those witch heads. I never kill those witches as they are all friendly to me, instead I use player.additem to get those heads. Fuck them, fuck Skyrim, fuck Bethesda.

@Nessa I haven't, but we've already talked about all of these so many times the past decade, I just don't see the point in listing everything. In fact, I was going to create a topic to list all these retarded shit in Skyrim, but then I decided that it wasn't worth the effort.

This game is so bloody annoying, in fact, I just killed everyone in WR a moment ago because of that. I mean, imagine this, you're in WR and Nazeem is attacking you, if you (or your follower) kill him, you most definitely get a bounty, but if some other NPC kills him, NO FUCKING BOUNTY whatsoever for them! Similarly, an NPC who is attacking you may pick up (steal) someone else's weapon that's lying around, right in front of everyone and they never get any bounty for that, but if you're the one who take that weapon, you most definitely do get a bounty on your hear.

Another annoyance is when the stupid game ignores that the player is invisible. In the Bannered Mare, for instance, as soon as you sit, Hulda unleashes Saadia on you, and she somehow always finds you, even when you've quickly run upstairs and cast invisibility spell on yourself! It's such an utterly retarded game.

Skyrim, like every other Bethesda game, is a player-centric ego trip in a lifeless game world. When you've played video games long enough, this very sentence alone should be enough to bore you to death.

It's true. I remember in Oblivion there was a crime overhaul mod that would allow other NPCs to steal and pickpocket. If they were caught they got hauled away just like the player. πŸ˜† No such thing for Skyrim that I know of.

The only way I play Skyrim anymore is to completely and totally ignore pretty much anything Bethsoft made.

There are so many unintentionally funny parts too. Like Sylgja at Shor's Stone. She can mine like any man. Of course she also fell while "bringing food to the men". πŸ˜†Β  🀣

Or Carlotta in Whiterun. She's so amazing she don't need no man! Because raising a daughter... alone... in a single parent household... in a region where people can die at any moment.... despite supposedly all the men in Whiterun being after her.... makes so much sense! 🀭

Skyrim has (prior to FO4) the laziest dialog I've seen in a game. You regularly have NPCs negating what they just said in a previous line of dialog. The low hanging fruit is the guards of course. But even the regular NPCs do this constantly.

I get extra kicks when they ignore their own lore. "Where or where can we find a Moth Priest!?" Serana says... as you're literally a short mountain pass away from the home of all Moth Priests. 🀣

The complete list of course could fill a book. Which is about what I've written already! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€£πŸ€£

Just a few minutes ago I went into the general store in Falkreath, you know, it's a two storey building and I went in while invisible as well as sneaking, and when inside, I also was sneaking and was invisible on the upper floor. Then the shopkeeper downstairs started talking to me, as if I was standing right in front of him, warning me not to steal anything and stuff... and that's when I decided that that was enough Bethesda BS for today and quit. This game is nothing but a bad joke.

Unless you have a mod that adds loot anyway, nothing up there to steal. 🀣

See that's why we have 300 mods. You need that many... to even make it worth playing. And it fails pretty much even then. πŸ˜†

Actually just had a fun experience. Riften. Vampire attack. I attack the vampire master that's wiping out the guards. Apparently the guards think that's bad so then the whole town turns on me. Took me awhile dodging arrows and hopping around (combat in my setup is pretty nasty) but ... I managed to wipe out the guards, the vampires, as well as Bolli. (Nivenor's annoying husband obsessed with the poor.)
And that's when I found out.... Nivenor has a whole series of conversations with her husband dead! So in the end Riften lost a lot of people and Nivenor upgraded from a dumpy house to an Ayleid palace. For Bolli being so "rich" they sure had a dump of a house. πŸ˜†

@Nessa To me the only "fun" in these kinds of games emerges from situations that are actually unintended by the developer, just like the situation you described.
