That is valuable assistance for the mod content creator. Very valuable contribution.

well, it even happened i found some bugs and helped the modder getting rid of them :P (just with ideas, no scripting or modding of course ;) )  but that only happened 2 times :(

well, better then never i suppose :D

One thing you can do to show your appreciation is help others that need help on thethreads etc. Helping the author give support for those mods you love and know about. That is one hell of a thank you to the author. Another is to offer to beta test their mods as well. This is very important as they have been face in the mod the entire time and many times can't see some of the issues that others might when released. This makes for a much easier time after releasing the mod. I have regularly beta and sometimes even Alpha tested the mod for the community.

when i can help i surely do... it didn't happen often that i could give an answer to somebody but it happened :)

especially (but not only) in italian forums where a lot of people's english isn't as good as mine and couldn't get the answers from a worldwide community such as nexus or LL... :P

I have used UNP for the longest time.  Then I used UNPBlessed.  Then UNPK.  Then once I seen Jiggle, I had to use it.  I install bodyslide and  UUNP just to be able to convert other mods to Jiggle for my personal use.

this is something i could never do :P never managed to create/convert anything :(

They did similar stuff to Kendo on the NV nexus as well.  Including theft of his stuff and no credits to him at all.  And then Nexus people backed the " thief".

Also UNP always seemed more like a realistic body to me over the huge tits and ass that CBBE is.  Also type in UNP in the advanced search on Nexus set it to " date added ".  Click to the oldest content.  I find some of the nicest and detailed content that has come out for UNP is some of the older stuff.  If you find a mod that you enjoy but it has a few issues, I have had a 70/30% of the mod author getting back to me and pm'ing me an updated/fixed version.  Just make sure you mention you are using it for your own and they will be more inclined to give you it.

well, i never asked anything from anybody...  sometimes people offered me help and i accepted gratefully, but i never asked for anything...  i already feel guilty enough for downloading and using all those fantastic mods they create without providing anything myself, i would never dare asking for something more... :)

If people end up asking you from your screenshots where they can get said mod just make sure to mention " its and updated xxxxxx by xxxx, contact him/her for permissions and the file ".

no problem... up to now never succeeded in taking a screenshot that i thought might be worth sharing...  even with the best mods i can't get the fantastic PC/NPC you guys create... :(

ps:  i don't like big boobs/asses either...  i use bodyslide to reduce them, not increasing ;)

  4. thanks for answering Kendo2...

of course i didn't know anything about that...  when i started downloading mods i used UNP because i simply liked it more then CBBE...  Then i discovered bodyslide that let me customize every single inch of my PC body and i thought it was great...  since at that moment there weren't that many clothing for UUNP, i switched to CBBE in order to use bodyslide and still have a huge amount of clothing/armors to choose among...  but now things are changing, so first or later i might get back to UNP again...

  5. may i ask why everything here is UNP ?  I even read somewhere that you don't want your stuff converted to CBBE...

is there a reason for which you don't like that body shape or you have some kind of problem/issue with Caliente ??

    thanks.

  6. i was wondering...  why the background image should be so important that someone might want to upload his/her own fav images ?  (i'm not criticizing, just asking ;) )

i mean...  when i created my profile i chose one of the available backgrounds (randomly) thinking i would change it later if i didn't like it...  well, after coming here every day, usually several time each day, for five weeks, i don't know yet if i like it or not, since i never actually saw it...  it flashes for less then a second while pages load, the rest of the time i can only see less then a inch of it on the borders of the screen, the remainder of the page is covered by the various features of the site (forums, downloads, main page, etc.)... so i can't actually understand why i should bother about what's behind that, besides its color maybe, since i don't like white, or to brilliant/clear colors that would be annoying...  :P

If you have to use more than one master than you need GECK PU.

MIght be some learning curve setting it up. However in the end you will be able to select multiple masters.

actually i was talking more about Skyrim CK then GECK ;) but thanks anyway, i'll keep it in mind... :)

i think i found a setting that might fix the problem in CK too, but didn't try yet...

Has Bethesda fixed the overlapping spoken dialogue?

it only happened very seldom to me (such as the Orsimer starting the Dawnguard quest-line while i was talking to someone else) and i thought it was fault of my over-modded game...O.o but even if i played for almost 2.000 hours now, i didn't actually play all the quests and all the possible quest-lines yet...  so i might have lost something...

They can, however they won't. One thing is they are trying to appeal to the greatest audience and making the game as broad as possible. Another thing is they want the quickest and easiest way to get the game out to market. If something hangs them up... they delete it and move on. There is a load of content in Fallout NV that wasn't included because it was unfinished because they didn't spend the time to do it. Likely the same with Skyrim and Fallout 4.

yes, the "logic" part of my mind knew that ;)  but the gamer part of me refuses that too ! LOL ! i'd rather wait a few months and have them sell a better product then wait a few year to let private modders do what they didn't !! :P:D

That is more then enough power to do what most people need to do. Unless you are running 4K monitors you should be fine. Basically if your game looks great and runs smooth you don't need a better graphics card ;)

actually i have a 4K monitor :P and Skyrim runs well and smooth but if i play for some time the card overheats and the game freezes (said this way sounds funny ;) )

  11. I don't know FO4, never played... Just entered in FO world a few days ago with NV...  But since in this thread have been covered/quoted several game, i'd like to say my opinion too (hope you don't mind :P )

usually i never buy a game as soon as it becomes available, i wait some time (actually a few years) to give the time to modders to do their fantastic magics !  I started playing the Sims 2 just a few week before TS3 was released, bought TS3 when they were already talking about TS4, started to play Skyrim in 2014, and so on...  And usually, after playing the vanilla game a couple of hours, just to understand the game mecanics, i start to mod them (heavily) with mods made by other people, since i never had the patience to learn how to do it myself... :P

one thing i found in NV that i liked (even if i still don't know how much important it is in game) is the reputation concept !  What i realy don't like in Skyrim is that what you do has no consequnces !  You can be arrested for a major crime and (if you have Prison Overhaul) be shown around the city for several days, with averyone whipping you and "using" you as they please...  Then you are relased and immediately you are again the mighty dragonborn, the thane, the hero !  Or, on the other hand, you actually are the great hero, just saved the world from Alduin and Myraak (or however you spell it) but if you have high stealt/lockpicking skills, any guard you meet tells you to keep your nose clean and to stay away from locks !  That's so annoying and un-immersive in my opinion ! >:(

also...  If modders that do it for fun, for free, in their free time can get such awesome results, both in graphics and gameplay...  Why can't bethesda and the others who create and sell games do at least the same ???  Why they don't simply have a look around the net, see which are the most preised and downloaded mods to get an idea of what players want and try to give it to them, instead of relaying on the goodwill and ability of amateurs ??? :P

You also needed the same mods installed the same way as the preset you selected from.

i had the same idea, but when i tried selecting all the needed .esp files (hair, lips, brows, etc) CK told me "too many master files selected) and didn't let me do that ! so i probably did something wrong :P  anyway, i then remembered that the presets i downloaded aren't actually mods (.esp) but .jslot files, so i supposed they just created them in racemenu and saved them from there (that's something even i can do) ;) even if i can't use racemenu so well to create those astounding and awesome preset/followers people make!

See you are moving just fine. Now if you are brave you  might even decide to change a hair from one of the Skyrm or eyes etc to something more to your liking. :)

you are actually now a modder :P Just say'in.

ahahah, don't think so ! i can't even decide how i like MY hair in real life ! :D i wouldn't know where to start from and since it doesn't interest me so much, i probably wouldn't have the patient to look for a tutorial and follow it... i will have to find a tutorial about something i really would like to do, such as more interactions between my PC and NPC...  but i suppose that's a bit to early for that ! LOL ! :P

NMM now has profiles that will allow you to change out the game and play a different game / character and it will automatically unclick on the mods that is needed to set up the game for you. I use MO for Fallout and Skyrim but I use NMM for Fallout 4 only. So far it works like a charm and only had a slight problem once that required me to go back and reactivate mods. I did some out of order stopped the game and just went back and selected the mods needed to be used (overwrite) and reinstalled them and all was good. Took about 15 minutes of my time. Currently MO2 isn't up to the level that I want it to be to use if for Fallout 4.

i'm not playing FO4, so i don't know anything about its mod managers...  but for Skyrim, NMM profiles are a recent feature, it hadn't them when i started adding mods to my game two years ago...  also consider that at the time i didn't actually understand anything about textures, meshes and all that comes with mods...  i just downloaded any mod i liked and threw it into my game with NMM, answering quite randomly to the overwriting requests...  so i never actually knew what had overwritten what...  and NMM didn't remember it very well either ;) now may be different, but the profiles where introduced just after i had reinstalled everything to switch from NMM to MO (a week-end of intensive work) and didn't want to face another similar work just to try the new function ! :P

  14. i don't know Arthmoor enough to say anything about him and probably wouldn't anyway...  even if i'm not using any of his mods, whoever creates and shares mods for free as my respects.

but in my opinion MO is way better then NMM to use for playing Skyrim with a lot of mods...  i have downloaded some 350 mods for Sk, but since i can't use all of them, every time i start a new game i decide which ones i want to use that time...  with MO is really easy, i only have to check/uncheck boxes and never get any issue, while when i used NMM it was a nightmare !!  i always ended up missing some texture/meshes that had been overwritten by one of the mods that i had later removed, so i had to figure out which were the overwritten mods and reinstall them...  so, being ready for starting a new game might require several hour against the few minutes i need now that i use MO...  also, a lot of people say that MO is more difficult to use then NMM, but if i could learn to use it, anybody can !!  ;)  :P

  15. OK, i did it again and, yes, actually, following Kendo2's tutorial i created a new preset... :o

so i decided doing something crazy...  went in google and looked for a guide about how to do the same in Skyrim...  found one...  wasn't as good and clear as Kendo2's but, since the CK isn't that different from GECK and thanks to Kendo2 now i knew it a little, i succeeded in creating one even there !! :o:o:o  but...  the new created preset wasn't the same as the PC i used to copy it from, it was kind of vanilla... without the nice hair, skin, eyes, etc.  that i use in may game and that let me create the beautiful PC i usually play with... :( why ?  is there something else i need to do in order to copy the face exactly as it is (with all the nice modded contents) ??  when i got back to FONV and looked at the preset i had created following Kendo2's instructions, i noticed that there too the preset wasn't the same as the mod i had used to copy it from, but was... well... vanilla ! without the mods Kendo2 used to create her (used Precious Companion).

now, i don't know how it is for FONV, but in Skyrim people create awesome presets, certainly not using just vanilla contents !!  so there must be a way to do that !!  anybody knows what is it ?

So what if it don't work. try again and ask more questions and learn. It is a game, nothing more something to have fun with and fool around with. AS for having trust in you I do as well as anyone else that is willing to give it a try and "Just do It" :) I have been around for a long time and talked to many new members across the web and the only thing that caused them to fail is themselves and their unwillingness to try to learn and patience to get the understanding. You have to work very hard at it but it is still doable.

that's me, exactly !! LOL !!  anyway...  even now, ok, i followed the Kendo2's tutorial, that's awesome, clear and easy (thanks again Kendo2)...  but i don't really know what i did so i don't know if it worked :P i pasted a random female face over another, and ? what now ? i created a new NPC, if so i'll probably never know...  i created a new preset ? they all seem the same to me so, i don't know if there's one more that wasn't there before... ;) when i have time i'll have to look around, find a face i can recognize, repeat the process and see if i find it in the presets or not...  but not today, too late now for "such a work " ! :D

See simple answers and now you have access to the GECK and can start working on some easy changes. After trying Kendo2 tutorial perhaps see if you can change a hair style of a companion or even eye color. Change some stats on a gun or armor etc. Simple things but does allow you to get use to the program. This is about as far as I gotten myself. I did follow Kendo2 tutorial for Jack armor (from Mass Effect) and imported it into the game :). If you like companions perhaps try CPU's tutorial on creating a companion in Skyrim. Soon afterwards you will have most of what you need for basic starts. Use the geck.bethesda site to learn how to make a quest, place an object in the world space even if you are brave create a small world space for you to call home in your favorite game. A simple sewer cap linked to a world space can mean you can start storing your own stuff in a home :) Keep plugging away in year you will be modding simple to complex mods depending on your time you devote to it. At the worst you will be able to make some custom changes to the mods you use :)

    ahahah !!  slow down, you're running too fast !!  :P  :D

OK, the tutorial from Kendo2 was easy, i followed it and i create this new .esp file...  now i still have to understand as i use it... ;) it's that easy ?? if i start a new game i have it as a preset ??  if so, i will have to find a face i like and do it again (this time i just took the first female face i remembered)

as for the future...  not interested in followers...  never used one in Skyrim, not even the vanilla ones... i always found them annoying, always in the wrong place doing the wrong thing ! LOL ! :D

weapons and armors in NV... well, i first have to learn how to use them ! at the moment the only thing i could do was staying indoors having sex ! :P as soon as i venture in the outside world i die (see attached pic) :( the only weapon i can use is the machete...  that's ok against a mantis, still working against a coyote, not enough against anything bigger (especially against men shooting at me !!) i'm totally incapable of using a gun !! when in the initial tutorial Sunny took me in the backyard to shoot at bottles, when i finally hit the 3rd one i was left with only 2 bullets for my rifle :P when i went with her hunting gekos, i shot my last two ammo without hitting anything, luckily she killed all of them or probably they would have killed me ;)

so, even if i'm glad i created someting (even if i still don't know if it actually works) it's too early to start making all those projects ;) you trust me more then i do myself ! :P

Of course I will place the link towards the top for those that go there for the tutorial that really needs Italian.

I had the same problem when I started the GECK the first time. I fixed it easy enough but can't remember how I did it :( I also use the GECK power up as well to give some added features. I doubt you need it currently since you are only doing some basic things.

When you resolve this I would advise you to create a small txt file / word document with some steps you took to get to where you were just in case you have to reload the OS or start over. It is something I wished I did when I started before. ;)

found out by reading the guide on the geck.bethesda site :) had to double click, one click wasn't enough :P

i don't think it was a good idea (for you) to try convincing me to learn how to use GECK ;)   first picture, first problem !

when i open the data window, there are X everywhere except on the FolloutNV.esm and i can't add nor remove X...  it simply doesn't let me click on any of them...  so i'm stuck even before starting :(

ps: even tried to temporary remove all the .esm file from my data folder (except FolloutNV.esm) nonetheless, i still can't select it >:(

ok, forget it :P found out ! ;)

As for translating the tutorial  I had go for it and upload it where ever you want :) I hold no claim on it. :) Nice if you reference me for the source along with Halstrom etc.

well, when (if) is ready, i'll ask you how and where to upload it ;) you might even add a link or a downloadable file at the top of your guide saying "Italian Translation" so :) any Italian might click directly there instead of reading the english version
