  1. Okay, I figured I would open a thread on Cyberpunk 2077 so that we all could have a discussion about. Feel free to speculate, criticize, hate it, love it and so on. For those who haven't kept up much on Cyperpunk 2077, or never heard of the game, Cyperpunk 2077 is an RPG based off the original Cyberpunk 2020 which is a table top/pen and paper RPG created by Mike Pondsmith, which sets the Cyberpunk world exactly 57 years later. From what we do know, classes haven't changed, but we will see how the world has progressed from then to now. We also know that CDPR is trying to keep to the originality of the game as much as possible. Below I have listed what we know so far about CP2077 and what we can expect to be featured in the game. However, because this game is still in development and not much is really known about this game, take some of these things with a grain of salt. I will be updating this thread with new information and related videos with CD Projekt Red and Cyberpunk 2077. But if you want to really know more on what Cyberpunk (the game) is about, I suggest researching on Cyberpunk 2020 as it will help give an idea and understanding of Cyberpunk 2077. Some of the things in the trailer from back in 2013 are references from the table top RPG that presumably might be in CP2077 from what we see. Also, feel free to post any new information you find. Here's a brief history of this game's development throughout the years and relevant information that YongYea kindly put together in regards to CD Projekt Red and Cyberpunk 2077. Update: 6-10-2018 cyberpunk website 2018 E3 CDPR's Cyperpunk 2077 Trailer What we can expect so far is... CP2077 will be on the latest Red Engine 4. Play as male or female. Open world sandbox. Allow you to customize you character's appearance and choose the class/role you want. Multi-player will be a feature in the game. Driveable vehicles on ground and in air. Motorcycles seems to be on that list. It is confirmed that CP2077 wil be FPP and TPP (first person and third person shooter and view). CP2077 will be about you saving yourself and not about saving the world. Drugs and more than likely sex as well since this is a very mature based game. That, and Witcher 3 had sex scenes in that game, so it's no surprise if we see this level of mature content in CP2077. Braindance which is basically a brain implant that lets you experiences someone else's life experience first hand. If you're a rockstar and someone buys an implant of your on stage perfomance, they will live that experience themselves through braindance. implants/augmentations that will significantly boost your character depending the role/class you are as each role/class will have advantages of certain implants over others. Attire and implants will have an impact on NPCs. How much in CP2077 is uncertain at this point. The way it will have an impact is by certain implants and NPCs reactions towards you and those modifications. Each role/class will have their advantages over others and more than likely their weaknesses. It's like the SPECIAL used in Fallout 1 and 2 where you have slight advantages but also disadvantages as well. It's not a system meant to create the perfect and godly characters. CP2077 will have multi-launguage implemented in it. What this does is the world will have NPCs of different ethnicity that will talk in their native language. And in order for you the player to be able to understand what they're saying, you'll have to buy a translating implant. CP2077 will be a not so distance from the future rather than a futuristic sci-fi game. CP2077 takes place a little over 50 years after CP2020 so you will see weapons (and perhaps gear as well) from the 2020 era more modified in 2077. Related Videos in spoiler.
  2. In a nutshell, Tim Berners-Lee (creator of the World Wide Web) is disgusted by it and announces an opensource alternative everyone can use. He wants people to be able to say 'goodbye' to the titans like FaceBook, Amazon, Twitter and Google. Link the FastCompany.com article.
  3. Ah.. crap.. Placing this here because it is just proof that Besthesda don't have a real clue what their customers really want. How can you trust their product without a good review from your favorite trustworthy reviewer? case in point that they don't understand what it is we do. Many of the scenes look like you are looking through a yellow filter/haze. Upgrade the graphics, textures and meshes but put a yellow haze one it. Like looking through a jar of piss playing the game. What is it with Bethesda and their filters? Just another reason for not trusting them to give a great product. It isn't any better than what we could do ourselves and actually have done ourselves. However it is built in now. Maybe when the mods get into full swing we will be able to go beyond what was the original game capabilities, especially for those that use graphics card > 4gb as I believe this is a 64bit game so there shouldn't be the crappy issue with the current Skyrim and memory for Windows 10 so there is that. Hopefully mod authors can polish this. EDIT: There seems to be a great deal of mods already updated to work with this new edition. From what I can read it is going to move pretty fast once they get the SKSE version for this game completed. Which should be soon from some sources. So for any Skyrim Lovers.. is this a YEA!!!! or a NEY!!! Chime in. I do hope I am wrong on this.
  4. “Agony is a first-person survival horror game currently in development. Players will begin their journey as tormented soul within the depths of hell without any memories about his past.” Agony is being developed by Madmind Studio. Madmind is a recent development team created in 2016. Among their ranks includes devs for The Division, Witcher 3, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, Alien Rage, Enemy Front, Real Boxing 2, Godfire: Rise of the Prometheus and other titles. Atmospherically Agony is part Gigeresque, part Dante’s Inferno, part Cthulhu Mythos, part Hellraiser, along with a sprinkling of Federico Fellini surrealism. Agony uses the Unreal 4 engine, which promises a modern and visually enjoyable gaming experience in today's market. Agony is still in development with a release date projected for sometime in 2017. Supported platforms will be PS4, Xbox One and PC. Current distribution includes STEAM. Youtuber RabidRetrospectGames has created a compilation of cinematic Agony trailers.
  5. The European Commission paid the Dutch firm Ecory for a study on how piracy impacts the sales of copyrighted music, books, video games, and movies. But the EU never shared the report—possibly because it determined that there is no evidence that piracy is a major problem. LINK to the archived Gizmodo Article. LINK to the archived original study. NOTE: The study is in its original and unedited format. I included it so there will be no question as to the veracity of the Gizmodo article's claims.
  6. It seems Patreon has some new community guidelines. Prohibited content now includes; graphic violence, bestiality, incest, rape/non-consensual sex, exploitation of children, and so on. They are extending these restrictions to art forms, including CGI imagery. That means video game content, which would fall under "illustrated, animated, and otherwise" from the new guidelines. These new guidelines go beyond the 'flagging' system already in place for adult content. The new prohibited content is just that; prohibited from the Patreon community. And the process of account suspensions has already started.
  7. Bethesda announces they will be sending media review copies of games one day before official release. Here is the article link on Bethesda.net. Basically what this does is prevent potential customers from being informed in advance, before they make the decision to purchase a Bethesda game release. One day is not enough time for a reviewer on a platform like Youtube to do some in-depth game play, compile a comprehensive video and provide a qualified opinion. Given the release states of previous Bethesda game titles (i.e. all of the day-one bugs) it appears Bethesda doesn't have a lot of faith in their products. Reviewers being able to actually review the games seems like an unwanted burden to Bethesda.
  8. The recent scuttlebutt and rumors are that the retailer chain Target leaked some documentation regarding a 'Bethesda: Game of Thrones' release. I'm not posting any links since everything at this point is rumors and if nothing solid comes out soon I'll be moving this thread to an Off-Topic area. Feel free to discuss.
  9. According to a report posted at Kotaku on 11 May 2017, the Mass Effect franchise has been placed in limbo by EA. Read the full article HERE.
  10. After the SWBF 2015 community strife over paid DLC campaign maps and the 2017 kerfuffle of Mass Effect Andromeda, it seems EA still hasn't learned any lessons. In a nutshell, EA is doing away with DLCs and implementing more 'pay to win' in-game microtransactions. Gamespot has an article posted detailing what is going on. LINK to the article
  11. In an AP wire report, a Supreme Court ruling on Monday 20.06.2017 reaffirms that 'offensive speech' is Constitutionally protected free speech. The unanimous 8-0 ruling is a major victory for those with dissenting opinions. Basically the ruling boils down to 'you might not like what I have to say but I have the right to say it' AND the U.S. Government doesn't have 'speech' as defined by the Constitution. Not only will this affect trademarks as in the context of the case, but the ruling can also be applied to state and local governments trying to enact 'no hate speech' or 'anti-cyber bullying' legislation. MY OPINION
  12. Reported by both gamespot and PCGamer, TES 6 is not in development according to Bethesda VP of marketing Pete Hines. The subject came up after a series of Tweets by Hines and was later verified an clarified by Hines in a statement to PCGamer. This directly conflicts with previous statements made by Bethesda game designer Todd Howard at a D.I.C.E 2016 interview, where he confirmed development for TES6. So what does this spell for a TES6 release date? Don't hold your breath. Given the standard Bethesda 3 year game release cycle, FO4 was released on Nov 10th, 2015. 'Starcraft' will be released in the Fall of 2018 and TES6 will hit the shelves in 2021.

  14. Conan Exiles is a survival game slated for early release in January 2016, with the full release in Spring 2017. Content includes: 11 playable human races, full player character customization (both male and female), mysterious ruins and caves to explore, civilization building, the ability to conquer and enslave your enemies, and much more.
  15. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an upcoming a historical-based single-player role-playing game with branching quest lines and a highly interactive world encouraging emergent game play. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is being developed by the Czech company Warhorse Studios and will co-published by Deep Silver. The game is a large open world reminiscent of the medieval atmosphere of The Witcher 3. One feature is there aren't character classes or defined paths. You can play as a warrior, a bard, a thief, etc. or any combination of skill sets. Fully interactive alchemy and crafting are also key features, along with realistic individual and mass combat. Supported platforms will be PC, PlayStation4 and XBoxOne. You can read more on the wikipedia page here or click the link for Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Youtuber CultOfMush has a 15 minute video of some alpha game play.
  16. The Bethesda front man Toddsplains a FO4 mea culpa, but not really...among other things. Read the full article at glixel.com. The Cliff's Notes version: 'Yeah, the way we presented FO4 fell flat so we'll admit that much. Not that it changes anything.'
