One thing that has never worked for me is that the mod has always ignored the animation tags, at least the "DISALLOW_FOR_RANDOM" tag. Whenever a sim autonomously chooses to have sex on his/her own, particularly on the floor, it is often one of the disallowed animations. It's quite annoying, especially when the animation suddenly spawns a foreign object or an animal like a llama or, just now, an invisible horse (the sim isn't even into zoophilia), and I usually see no other option but to block the usage of that animation completely.
I just tried to run the mod completely on its own, without any other mods apart from those required by the mod, to verify that no other mods interferes with the operation of Devious Desires, and it still happens. (And I have checked that the animations indeed have the right tags).
Have I missed some settings somewhere, that cause the mod to ignore the tags? I have looked around in the settings numerous times and not found anything that seems to be relevant to the problem or appears to be amiss, but with all the settings available in the mod, I can obviously not be certain that I haven't missed anything essential.
