For those that were older here and think back this would have been almost unthought of except in the most craziest sci fi stores. The ability to create something like this. Hell, they would have been happy if it could write a sentence that made any sense 1 Quote

vancleef 978 Posted December 29, 2024 (edited) For the record, I'm pro AI but I don't think it's going to be the "Magic Spell" the average person conceives it. It's another tool in the box. You're still going to need someone with talent to make it work. When I was a working musician, I met a lot of guys who had top of the line guitar rigs and couldn't play a fucking decent riff. Then there'd be another guy with a combo amp, beat to shit guitar and a few stomp boxes who would blow the audience's hair off. Still gonna need that human touch. AI will eliminate a lot of the busy work. For example, I met a programmer who uses it to write basic outlines but he still has to tweak them to get them to work. But he pointed out that it removes hours of time he has to spend building the basic framework. So yeah...I see it as another leap forward but hardly the miracle people think it's going to be. And like any other skill, you're still gonna need a guy with experience to pull the levers. Edited December 29, 2024 by vancleef Quote

AI is a great tool to help inspire and give concepts to start working on for the artist be it a writer or a graphics artist etc. The end all and be all, no. It is far from that level now. Not sure if it ever woudl be. When humanity was in analogue, we aspired for digital. The exacting perfection and predictability. Now that we are more digital and technology is so advancd, many are moving to analogue simpler way of life. 1 Quote
