It takes a real special group of out of touch imbeciles to release a game in this state and not believe that there would be any sort of backlash. I've never seen a game this bad for a AAA developer. Bethesda has manage to beat out my super low expectations for this game and now I actively compare Fallout 76 to E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. I wouldn't be surprised if copies of this game is dumped in a landfill somewhere.

Blizzard died the moment they joined Activision.

Wow... Just wow... This should've been fixed during early access beta.

And there you have it folks, straight from the horse's mouth. Although no one here is surprised. Now the big issue here is that the Creation Engine has some major issues like physics being tied to the framerate, inability to use a Field of View (although this is mostly something that Bethesda has overlooked) and the visuals that the engine is currently capable of producing are outdated. Take for example Fallout 76. From what we’ve seen so far, this new Fallout is a really disappointing game – visuals-wise – for a 2018 release. Moreover, we don’t know whether the engine can take advantage of multi-core CPUs, whether there is still the limitation of 4GB of RAM, and whether there are plans to support DX12 or Vulkan. Creation Engine, which is basically an evolution of the Gamebryo Engine, is dated. We know it, you know it, modders know it, Bethesda knows it. Unfortunately, though, this engine will power the games that the team will be developing, and that’s a bummer! [Update] Obsidian and InXile is getting bought by Microsoft
Doublezero replied to bjornk's topic in Gaming Discussions
Microsoft is an enigma to me. They're sitting on a ton of IPs that they don't use, a console that they won't make exclusive games for and their shining beacon, Halo, has been driven into the ground by a greedy publisher (them) and a studio that is runned by people who admit they hate the franchise. I don't know what to think of this move by Microsoft. Are they going to make exclusive games for the next Xbox or are they going to be time exclusives? If it's the latter then there is no reason to buy another console from them. My guess is that they are going to produce some game as service garbage or at the very lest something that's filled to the brim with microtransactions like in Forza. It's hard for me to be positive about this because I own an Xbox One that is covered with dust and the one game that I really wanted was Halo 5 and it disappointed me tremendously. I do hope they make another Alpha Protocol but I won't hold my breath. I will say this; they should have bought Bioware years ago. I believe Mass Effect would have better off for it. -

Don't worry, Bethesda will fix everything after launch!

This game is going to be a disaster.

Well, at least Bethesda is being honest.

Hopefully EA will double down and continue pushing microtransactions and loot boxes.

LOL, beat me to it. EA's a freakin' dumpster fire. As much as I would like to see them clean out the SJWs and make decent games again, I find it more enjoyable to watch the company burn from the inside out.
