  1. I'm tempted to keep trying, though. Using software on a single operating system is very convenient. I easily got Cinema 4D R4 running using Bottles, and it works just as well as it does on Windows. With R4, I can do this:
  2. LOL. People are saying the honeymoon phase has passed. Too late! Todd has your money.
  3. LOL, I wish I had thought of that joke.
  4. Welp, too early for a congratulations. It was indeed trying to phone home. I missed the FlexNet licensing folder and the registry settings. Installing that fixed the error, but I still couldn't get past the splash screen. Enough of my hardheadedness. I just installed a Windows 7 virtual machine. It's time for me to get back to modding.
  5. It's a Bethesda game, but it's different from the original Oblivion. I remember seeing dead NPC heads stretched across Ayleid ruins and other weird NPC physics. I have yet to see a video of the remaster that looks like this. I'm not saying this is good or bad, I'm just saying that this game seems different. It's Oblivion, but it feels like a different game. If that makes sense. Another video on the game physics.
  6. I played my fair share of Oblivion back in the day, and I don't remember anything like this.
  7. This video is over a week old, but this is the first time I've seen it. After watching it, I can't understand all the praise for this game.
  8. Everything is brown and it's ugly. It's like there's a wildfire burning out of control in Elsweyr, and all the smoke and haze is moving north into Cyrodiil.
  9. I think they animated the faces with good old weights and bones instead of using tri files like Bethesda did in previous games. The studio probably just forgot to make drinking animations or something is broken.
  10. Both are bad, but at least the mouth moved in the original.
  11. I expect major lawsuits over this. Windows 11 users reportedly losing data due to Microsoft's forced BitLocker encryption
  12. We would need to solve space travel. Seamless travel from planet surface to space and back would make or break the project imo. I believe it can be done and have ideas on how to go about it, but I'm not a programmer and will leave that to more knowledgeable members. The biggest time sink would be world building. Tamriel Rebuilt has been going on for almost 20 years and that is just for Morrowind. Building multiple worlds with civilizations, nations, cities, towns and communities would take a long time unless we can use AI to help generate them. But I'm crazy enough to give it a try. But we would need a lot of help.
  13. Every video that critiques this game gives me a sobering realization of how poorly made this game is. This is not a remaster, this is a downgrade. I don't even want to play it anymore.
  14. In April, Linux approaches 5% of the U.S. desktop operating system market. https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/desktop/united-states-of-america
  15. Best video I've seen on this game, but he needs to be careful, Bethesda fans do not like dissenting opinions on their precious games.
  16. Better than Starfield though. I watched an old Starfield video again yesterday and couldn't believe how bad they were in comparison. Well, not this one.
  17. Man, I forgot to reply to your post. I wanted to try it myself but never got around to it. I'm going to try and find the mods this YouTuber installed. This is awesome! The best thing about OpenMW is that it runs on Linux and macOS
