Having a problem sending some audio files via attachments. Uploading MP3 files normally works fine. But now it's just showing 0:00. Sometimes I get a "Site can't be reached" for a moment when I hit refresh then it loads the webpage. Just tried again and it's working now. -
Share a Character Build for Skyrim
endgameaddiction replied to Kendo 2's topic in Skyrim General Discussion
While I don't play Skyrim anymore for years, I figured I'd share Serene's Backstory. Now she's proficient in wielding one handed weapons and two handed weapons as well as using a bow. 1. The Master Shipwright of Atmora It all begins in ancient Atmora with Serene’s father, a highly respected master woodworker and architect. He builds a rugged, top-tier longship to fulfill his dream of exploring the seas. Alongside his fierce warrior wife, they raise their daughter Serene, training her to be proficient in all forms of combat—from single-handed weapons and bows to greatswords. 2. First Contact and a Dual Household During a voyage far to the southeast, Serene’s father makes first contact with the golden-skinned Chimer on the shores of Morrowind. There, he meets Nylaathria, a young and elegant woman from the ancient, minor Great House Mora. They fall in love, and Nylaathria returns with him to Atmora as his second wife. Though the family dynamic is shocking at first, Serene eventually accepts her. When Serene’s biological mother tragically passes away from an illness during Serene's preteen years, Nylaathria’s warmth and patience provide the comfort she needs, forging a deep bond between them. 3. The Birth of Drarusea and the Great Fleet By the time Serene is a young adult of 19, Nylathria gives birth to a unique Man-Mer child named Drarusea, who inherits her mother's golden skin and red-brown hair, but features her human father’s rounded ears and nose. Desiring to raise her child in the warmth of Morrowind, Nylaathria asks her husband to return home. He agrees, but must first complete a massive, historically monumental task: crafting the entire legendary fleet of ocean-faring longships for Ysgramor and the first wave of Atmoran settlers heading south to Skyrim. Once the fleet is finished, Serene’s father, stepmother, and baby sister sail to Morrowind, while Serene stays behind to maintain the homestead. 4. The Night of Tears and the Call to Arms Down south, the Atmorans build Saarthal, only for the Snow Elves to launch a surprise attack, slaughtering the settlers in the Night of Tears. Ysgramor escapes back to Atmora, beating the war drums and calling for the Five Hundred Companions. Hearing that the very ships her father built were destroyed and human blood was spilled, 19-year-old Serene answers the call out of pure duty. She boards Ysgramor's personal ship, stepping into history as an unrecorded hero of the 500. 5. Vengeance, Valor, and the Lonely Peak The Companions sail back through the Sea of Ghosts and launch a brutal campaign of vengeance, driving the Snow Elves all the way to Solstheim. Serene fights like a demon. Even after taking a massive blow to her face, she simply binds her left eye with a cloth bandage and keeps swinging until she is fatally stabbed in the abdomen. Refusing to stop until the battle is won, she uses her final strength to walk to a high mountain peak right outside where Ysgramor’s Tomb will eventually be built. Looking out over the Sea of Ghosts toward her lost homeland of Atmora, she takes her final breath and passes away. Ysgramor and her crewmates honor her final wish, constructing a solitary tomb for her right there on the cliffside. 6. The Eternal Legacy While Serene’s soul ascends to the warm halls of Sovngarde to feast with her birth mother, her name is forever immortalized in the Nords' oral history during the annual Feast of the Dead in Windhelm. Meanwhile, back in Morrowind, her bloodline quietly lives on through her half-sister Drarusea, weaving the lineage of an Atmoran master shipwright directly into the future politics of House Mora. -
Exactly. It's just a repetition of bad spending habits.

I'm currently working on a mod for TKA now. It's nothing too major. Just modifying the vanilla challenge map—Centralized Control Area with my own way of zombie waves. Got sick of the dumb unbalanced versions on Nexusmods that are pretty much unbalanced on extreme.

1. Primary Setup: The ~mods Subfolder (Nexusmods) Navigate to your game directory: Find where the game is installed (usually under Steam Library if you are using the Steam version). Path: TheKillingAntidote/Content/Paks/ Action: Inside the Paks subfolder, create a new folder and name it ~mods (including the tilde symbol). Installation: Drop your Nexusmods downloaded .pak mod files directly into the new ~mods subfolder. 2. Secondary Setup: The Mods Subfolder (Steam Workshop) Create a second subfolder: In the same directory (TheKillingAntidote/Content/Paks/), create a subfolder named Mods (without the tilde). Usage: Use the subfolder specifically for: Mods that trigger a popup error message. Mods downloaded from the Steam Workshop that you are manually installing. Specific Nexus mods where the author explicitly mentions the Mods subfolder rather than the ~mods subfolder. In most cases, if you run into an error putting it in the Mods subfolder, you'll likely need to put it into the ~mods subfolder instead. This is only if the mod is off of The Killing Antidote Nexus. I've had this run in a few times in the past because the mod author assumes the subfolder path is supposed to be the same. 3. Essential Tools Mod Enabler: Download Mod Enabler if you find the standard .paks from Nexusmods aren't loading. Mods that won't load is usually because this specific mod/file is needed and needs to be installed. It's essential that you download this mod to avoid this problem. Hotkeys: If you are using TheKillingAntidoteTowelMod_2.7zip, the F1 key often toggles the help menu, and the K key is used for specific character/model toggles. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Important Tips: Outdated Mods: A Be careful with other mods. They are the most common cause for CTD (Crash To Desktop). If the game won't start, remove your most recent mods one by one to find the culprit. Directory Accuracy: Ensure you are in the Content/Paks subfolder. Placing the ~mods subfolder in the root directory will not work. Same for the Mods subfolder when it comes to Steam Workshop mods. This mod removes the towel to be permanent on Jodi during the bathroom scene and after the bathroom scene. Using this mod allows you to be able to unequip the towel. All credits go to mai2019 for not only creating the patch, but giving me permission to use it for the guide. TheKillingAntidoteTowelMod_2.7z IMPORTANT NOTE: You may find yourself downloading Steam Workshop mods outside of the Workshop itself. Treat it as Step 2 if you find yourself crashing to desktop when launching this game. More than likely you've placed them in the ~mods subfolder, which is why it would be causing the CTD to begin with, so try putting them in the Mods subfolder instead. People tend to upload mods and not specify the correct subfolder the mod belongs in. And if that doesn't work, more than likely you'll have to skip using that mod because it might not be compatible with the current version of The Killing Antidote. Anyways. I hope this guide was helpful. If it was, please consider giving it a like or commenting to show your appreciation. Thank you.
