Anatriax Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 With the release of CK approaching, it's time we start working on dev for a community Fallout 4 guide. Step 1: Fill out the crap Bethesda should have put in to begin with, or adding things to make the core game more user friendly. Craftable Ammo - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/798/? Armor and Weapon Keywords - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6091/? Armorsmith Extended - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2228/? Full Dialog Interface - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1235/? Homemaker - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1478/? Spring Cleaning - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4640/? These are just a few basic mods that I feel EVERYONE should have installed in their Fallout 4 game. For now, lets focus on this step in guide dev. Phase 1 (clean install) is self explanatory, phase 2 (bug fixes/extenders) isn't needed at this time, because there aren't enough combined bug fixes out there, phase 3 (ENB and weather) is pretty much taken care of; so phase 4 will be our focus for now. If you have mods that are relevant to a phase titled "Filling out missing content", please go ahead and add that mod now, so we can test the pre-CK version, and decide if we like the effects for testing AFTER CK release. (Note: We will only be using mods for the guide once CK has been released. This way... if some mods we decide are needed together have incompatibilities, we can work on making a patch for them (NSFW exclusive? hmmm). Thanks all Lets make this Fallout 4 guide better than any of the others I've done! Quote
Anatriax Posted March 29, 2016 Author Posted March 29, 2016 Adding in fINIp to handle organization of fallout.ini, which includes a new launcher by Bilargo:http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/67/? I've found that this is a quick, easy, and user friendly tool to make CLEAN edits to .ini files. Quote
Anatriax Posted March 29, 2016 Author Posted March 29, 2016 Also: Using MO2 to test mods, and MO2 for stability. --Previously to this I used exclusively Wrye Bash Experimental. Quote
