  1. The ONLY market I can see for the 'Creation Club' are the big mods like total conversions and massive quest mods that will add 10+ hours of game play.  IF the 'outside developers' bit is true, then maybe the likes of Obsidian would make a NewVegas-type thing for FO4.  Depending on what it does and the story, I might buy that too.  People will pay for that stuff.  Small potatoes mods for armor, swords, outfits, etc. won't do well.  And even if they do, there's nothing preventing another modder from making something similar and uploading it as a free mod somewhere.

Well, Lover's Lab is, atleast officially, an adult site too and they're apparently fanboying just as hard.

Bethesda should learn from Mighty No. 9. There's only a limited amount of horseshit you can spew out while relying on your previous achievements before it gets thrown back in your face.

I'd love to see them continue to try to sell us mods, I'm just gonna sit back and watch them slowly burn their own reputation and consequently their company to the ground.

They are fanboying because any dissenting opinions get shouted down and/or deleted.  That's what happens when moderators get the 'because I said so' green light and personal preference becomes a moderation tool.  That's never gonna happen here and I'll quit if it does.

Concerning Bethesda et alia, I was differentiating between Bethesda Softworks and Bethesda Game Studios because they are not the same entity, but after considering the 'Bethesda' history of market practices combined with substandard game development, yeah they suck.  They went from making RPGs and being somewhat honest to the two companies that developed and marketed FO4.  Their reputations are already in the toilet bowl, along with EA, Konami and Ubisoft.  Companies like CDProjekt and Kojima are the future of cutting-edge and ground-breaking games, not legacy companies like Bethesda.

  3. Popped over to the Nexus forums to see what they're saying about this Creation Club thing.  They're clueless, as usual.  Lover's Lab is worse.  The staff pet members and Shill Brigade are doing the usual to shut down any conversation they don't like and the staff is right there with them.  And Bethesda.net?  'The Creation Club is duh best ting evuh!'

We've had a more cognizant discussion with less than 10 posts than other forums have had in 10 or 15 pages of blather.

  4. Well, I popped over to the Creation Club website.  The info there is sparse, as in it doesn't tell you anything.  The scuttlebutt is that modders get paid three times and then Bethesda takes all of the profit after that.  So if they pay a modder a total of $1000 and then they sell the content at $5 per download that means Bethesda Softworks is in the black after 200 downloads.  That's not paying modders for their work or 'supporting the community', that's Bethesda Softworks turning a profit at the expense of the creators.

What i think will happen; once the truth comes out about what this 'Creation Club' really is people will reject it just like they did the Valve paid mods scheme back in 2015.  Also, the Creation Club only encompasses Skyrim Special Edition and FO4.  Those games are not as popular as Bethesda wants to believe and the market share of modders for those games is a small fraction of what it is for Skyrim alone.  This Creation Club will go nowhere fast once people start ignoring it.

There is a very slim possibility that Bethesda Softworks will DMCA any free mod that does something that they can charge money for.  So if someone makes a free horse armor mod for Skyrim SE and uploads it to Nexus, that mod will be taken if it bites into the 'official' horse armor mod for Skyrim SE.

But none of this affects ME.  I don't have FO4 or Skyrim SE installed and I sure as fuck aren't going to mod them.  That was carved in stone before the Creation Club announcement.  Now the chisel marks are even deeper.  This Creation Club thing isn't going to be the boon Bethesda Softworks thinks it is, especially since all of the modder content will have to be vetted and tested by Bethesda Game Studios.  Seriously how much time, money and effort is a parent company going to put into their devs qualifying mods when they could be working on new IPs?

Much like how all of Bethesda is now, the Creation Club will be a massive joke.

  5. Okay. I didn't know that Bethesda Softworks had set up an actual carnival at E3.  I thought 'Bethesdaland' was just a bit on their video.  I guess they didn't see the irony of 'separating a mark and his money' when they trotted out the Creation Club with a real fucking carnival as a backdrop.  Micro-transactions made by modders, that's what the Creation Club is.

  6. UPDATE:

I've been working on the mod's story and it struck me that some players will not like this mod.  The mod is a narrative adventure where the player has a defined role and the NPCs I'm using react and interact with the player in the context of that role.  This isn't going to be a 'run around and do whatever you want' type of mod.  It's my intention that the player play the mod 'as intended'.  That isn't conducive to what Skyrim players (and Bethesda game players in general) are used to.  The mod is going to be a problem for people who can't wrap their heads around that and I doubt the mod will popular because of it.

Anyway, I'm writing the story in a 'non-Bethesda' way.  There isn't a foregone conclusion or mediocre plot twist the story is centered around.  I have a story concept and I'm placing the player and the NPCs I'm using into it.  The NPCs' personalities and the player's actions write what happens next.  Some outcomes are predetermined for the sake of the story but some key elements hinge on what the player does.  Those of you who have played Mass Effect or the Witcher games will understand what I'm talking about.

As the mod's story branches out there will be sections of the narrative the player might miss altogether.  For instance; I've started placing mod Easter Eggs in the dialogue of NPCs the player will likely talk to.  That might add a map marker, give a clue, or open a dialogue sequence with another NPC later.  There are also 'gray area' choices where the player will be faced with making decisions with repercussions later in the mod.  So like I said, the 'do whatever you want' play style Bethesda games enforce have will not work with the mod.  And I know some players won't like that....and I really don't care. :D

  7. "We're dong VR versions of games you already have...and you'll need to pay for them again."

"Paid mods are returning as in-game micro-transactions."

"Blah-blah-blah about games you'll never play."

That's what I got out of it, but after FO4 I really don't care what Bethesda does.

  8. After CDRed set the standard for what an RPG is (Witcher3) and how a company should conduct themselves (free DLCs and low-priced expansions), NOTHING Bethesda can do will ever match them.  'Mods will fix it', half-baked story lines, season passes that buy broken promises, and not being able to really finish the game without buying a DLC proves that Bethesda is in the toilet.  By the time they release their next TES game they will have sank to the level of Ubisoft or EA.  If FO4 is a taste of things to come, 'StarCraft' will have the same formula as a TES or FO game, and it will be nothing but slogging from quest to quest to finish a story written by high-schoolers on Vine.

As for paid modding, GOOD.  Glad it's back.  Now Bethesda just has to go after all of these faggots with 'pay me to mod' Paetron accounts and the forums that pander to them.  Once Bethesda starts exercising the licensing people agreed to when they installed the games, Bethesda will control paid modding.  Realistically Bethesda has all of their fans duped with their legal double-speak about 'you own your mods' and the 'blah-blah-blah' coming out of Bethesda.net.  Most Bethesda fans are too dumb and wrapped up in being right to fucking understand that they surrender their 'modder IP rights' the moment they install the game's software.

Once this Creation Club thing goes full tilt the Zenimax lawyers will come out of the woodwork armed with DMCA takedowns and fans sites that provide a platform will be their hunting grounds.  If those lawyers see a 'support me on Paetron' link and the modder has Bethesda IP locked behind a paywall or in a 'donor's only area', they will attack.  It will be like the demonetization wave that happened at Youtube a few months ago, but on a smaller scale.

Realistically the Creation Club is only going to adversely affect Millennials who don't have real jobs and being 'paid to mod' is their hustle.  Bethesda lost me as a die-hard customer after FO4.  I'll never pre-order any game ever again.  I'll never buy a season pass again.  I'll never buy a game at day-one release again.  OF COURSE there are dumb-asses who will, and that's what companies like Zenimax/Bethesda are banking on....and it's all about 'the bank' anyway.  That's why CDRed is the diamond in a video game company pile of shit.

And here's why Bethesda owns all mods and modders don't.

    Spoiler

    THE SOFTWARE UTILITIES, IF ANY.
    (a) All Customized Game Materials created by you are exclusively owned by LICENSOR and/or its licensors (as the case may be) and you hereby transfer, assign and convey to LICENSOR all right, title and interest in and to the Customized Game Materials and LICENSOR and its permitted licensors may use any Customized Game Materials made publicly available to you for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to for purposes of advertising and promoting the Software;

The link to the full license.

So if you make a Skyrim or FO4 mod and use any Bethesda IP to do it (including derivatives of their code), THEY OWN IT and can dispose of it as they see fit.  It doesn't matter what the Creation Kit license says or what is said at Bethesda.net.  The Licensor owns the game's software and if you install it you agree to the terms.  That's what they would argue in pretrial and they would win.  And that's all there is to it.  Most Bethesda fans are too dumb to understand this.

  9. UPDATE:

I have the Companions quest working seamlessly.  Kodlak, Vilkas and the trigger zones that start their scene and the Companions quest all disable if the player tries to go into the Jorrvaskr basement.  Tilma the maid will then allow the player to serve the warriors.  All the player has to do his hand out mead and if she doesn't have mead (and the NPC's arousal is high enough) the NPC will opt to fuck the player.  The player can do this for as long as they like provided the NPCs are aroused.  Once the player hands out one mead and has sex with one NPC they can go back to Tilma for their reward, and the quest will end.  The quest can done done once per day.

  10. [Sims 4] Kendo 2's FUCK YOU EA Massive file Dump

    View File

    PREPARE TO BE TROLLED

This is everything I've ever made for Sims 4.  Some of it you may already have and a lot of it I know you don't because it was (at one time) my personal shit.

So..just...WHY?  Because of all the dirt that came out about how EA conducts themselves after ME:Andromeda was released.  REALLY EA?  Okay...

AND because EA is a massive cluster fuck of diversity-hire-SJW-stupidity and I refuse to mod for or support a company like that.  I don't care what you think about it or me, so FUCK YOU.

NO, there will be not screenshots and NO I do not care what you do with these files.  Again, FUCK YOU for playing an EA game and supporting their narrow-minded SJW Lib-tard corporate culture.  You should be goddamned ashamed of yourselves.  But what do I know?  I'm just some faggot who knows how to mod.

  11. UPDATE:

Been working on scripts and isolating Sexlab animations in script functions to make the game do what I want, and I FINALLY FUCKING figured it out...somewhat.  Still trying to discover the Skyrim Script Kabal secrets  'those in the know' refuse to fucking share, but I'm getting there.

Here's an example: an NPC spanks the player and they do not strip, but the player does.

that's sound nice...  maybe you should also consider gender preference... :)

also, Orcs might be more likely to rape the player (weather in strongholds or not) because of that rule that only chieftains have wives/females...  so the other males should be quite aroused ;)

finally, in case you might be interested, i really like quests with different endings depending on player's choices :P

Gender preference won't be a factor because of the way the story is written.  The player will sex have with both genders regardless.  There are circumstances in the mod the player can't avoid at times.

Most if not all of the orcs in the strongholds have the required aggression and confidence values.  Some have the low morality score.

Throughout the mod there will be dialogue options for the player to choose that will affect how the mod plays and how NPCs treat them.  I have a system in place that uses new hidden factions and tracks the player's rank in those factions.  There will also be options for the player at the end of the main quest line; kill the bad guy(s) or let them live, keep the bands on or take them off, etc.

  13. UPDATE:

I'm maybe a quarter of the way through finishing the second quest in the mod.  I have no idea how many quests there will be but I have a story overview syllabus and I'm sticking to to it.  I'm not going to let mod-creep kill the mod.

Finished a short dialogue quest the player can have with one of the carriage drivers.  It doesn't do anything, just adds dialogue and gives the mod a sense of being a real part of Skyrim.  It's for mod flavor and background.

Also finished the world interactions dialogue quest for generic NPCs commenting on the player being collared and naked at the same time.  The comments will only be said by a certain NPCs with the right voice type and some of the comments will only occur in specific locations, like orc strongholds.  In some instances the NPCs might rape the player, but this is controlled by NPC arousal, aggression level, confidence, and morality.  The rape won't occur as often as with a mod like Dangerously Nude, where it happens almost every game hour with that mod installed.  I've restricted it to NPCs the game rates as 'the type' to do it.  The biggest risks will be around Hirelings and Followers who aren't in your party, in orc strong holds and maybe from wandering Thalmor patrols.  The baseline for an NPC to rape is (Aroused =>40, Aggression ==1, Confidence >=2, Morality ==0).  So, only certain NPCs will molest the player, not everyone able to comment.

    thanks for answering, Kendo2 :)

as for the dialogs not making sense, i might just pretend i got captured etc...  about DD, well, should i decide to install your mod, i might try and see what happens...

Having DD and DD mods installed shouldn't cause any problems with my mod, provided you STAY AWAY from what triggers those mods in the game.

For the dialogue, NPCs will be talking about you being captured by Imperials at DarkWater Crossing and eventually you'll be sent there to look for clues.  So even if LAL gives you a fancy house in Solitude and make you Queen of Skyrim people in the game won't acknowledge that.  And the vanilla Helgen isn't THAT bad.  It takes less than 20 minutes to complete.  Also, the mod assumes you will go to Riverwood and then Whiterun when the game starts.  LAL will make no sense, but hey...your game so play it the way you like it. :D

Once I'm done with the mod and I KNOW it works for most people I'll look into doing a LAL addon where the player starts in Riverwood.  I could make that fit in with the story I'm doing.  The player was still captured by the Imperials but they escaped Helgen on their own, without the help of Hadvar or Ralof.  That's actually a good idea.  Thanks for making me think about it. ^_^

I never did get into DD. Can't remember if I even ever had it installed. I might have had it installed for a very, very short time testing it for a bit but for the most part ... nope. Not interested. I am interested if doing something like that, with a real story with depth and such not just having tings stuck to someone. I even quickly got board with Submit.

DD is fun for a little while, but chastity belts, arm binders and atomic Dwemer butt plugs make regular game play impossible at times...most of the time.  To my knowledge there are only a few story-driven quest mods that use it.  Everything else is about making the character's life a living hell and the game gets dull REAL fast when that's happening.

    2 hours ago, ritualclarity said:

If your comment was in response to mine... I wasn't asking that. I was wondering if someone was playing with your mod, gotten use to the story etc and seen or thought of some interesting additions or episodes for it, would be be interested? Sometimes I confuse my own self when I write something. A DD like episode but in line with the rest of the story. A suggestion, thought, etc.

It was sort of response to your post but I knew that question or notion would come up eventually about DD and other stuff.  I just wanted to make it clear I'm not making a DD type mod.  What I'm doing is NEW.

    2 hours ago, ritualclarity said:

Once you get a few episodes in, I'll have to play it. I assume it don't require much.  (requirement list)

Sure, gonna need playtesters eventually.  The required mod load will be light and most adult players will already have the mods installed and working.  Sexlab, Zaz Animations and Aroused.  A mod like Timing is Everything will be really helpful to disable the dragon and vampire attacks.  I'll do a 'Recommended Mods List' when the time comes.

I have to check it out at least once... I still remember your comics you created before ... :D) If this is any indication... It willl be Epic!!

THAT is exactly what I'm doing; one of my comics but in the form of a Skyrim quest mod.  Couldn't have explained it better myself. ^_^
