endgameaddiction Posted May 25 Author Posted May 25 (edited) This is a short and simple guild for those who are having trouble like I did at first when trying to mod this game. It's fairly easy. Just keep in mind that some mods will not work and cause CTD. Usually these are older mods that were made for older versions of the game. Some older mods will work, but cause issues because they are outdated. So keep that in mind. However, from personal experience, I can say that most mods will work even when you update to the latest version of the game. To mod this game, it requires two steps to make it happen. 'Make sure you create a new folder called ~mods after the paks folder. The directory should look like this: TheKillingAntidote/Content/Paks/~mods Download Mod Enabler if you find some mods will not work when placed in the ~mods folder. Follow the instructions on the description page for Mod Enabler. Additional: Loverslab has a dedicated thread here where you can find and install the latest nude mod. There is also the shower scene where Jodi wears the towel until she takes a shower and then magically has it on again when she encounters the Devourer right before you have to escape from it. If you want to have the ability to remove the towel then download the file from this post here. F1 key is to bring up and hide the help menu option, K key is to enable or disable the towel Jodi wears. Just be sure to drop the folder from the archive where it supposed to be. Hope it helps and have fun modding! Edited May 25 by endgameaddiction 1 Quote
endgameaddiction Posted Saturday at 11:18 AM Author Posted Saturday at 11:18 AM (edited) If for what ever reason you install mods in the ~mods folder and it doesn't want to work, let's say you are getting a pop up message when launching TKA, create a folder called Mods. It should appear below the ~mods folder. Install any mods that gives you that pop up message into the Mods folder. I highly suggest ALL workshop mods go into this folder if you are downloading workshop mods that are linked to download outside of the workshop. Some mod authors will upload their mods on Nexus as well and require you to install the file into the Mods folder. I personally have always installed them in the ~mods folder when it comes to mods off of Nexus. I'm assuming that they think they all go into one folder.
