  1. LOL. Modders can make a better remaster with OpenMW. I really need to start beating this drum on other forums.
  2. Funny timing. I was just watching Zaric Zhakaron's livesteam of Oblivion Remaster and the game crashed on him. He showed the error and explained that it was an Unreal Engine 5 bug. He also expects that Bethesda will eventually sell expansions.
  3. I installed everything with Bottles. SKSE, BodySlide, FNIS all worked. I could have used Mod Organizer 2, but I prefer to install mods manually. The only problem I had was the way Kubuntu handles folders. Kubuntu (and other Linux distros I assume) allows two folders to have the same name if the first word in one folder is uppercase and the first word in the second folder is lowercase. This broke some mods, but once I realized what the problem was, I moved all the files to the appropriate folders and the rest was smooth sailing.
  4. Finally got a modded Skyrim running on Linux.
  5. Yeah, I'm sticking with the original. This game looks like a cash grab.
  6. Console gamers are going to be in for some fun frustration.
  7. Bad actors are already ending Windows 10 updates anyway.
  8. As a webmaster, I can confirm that everything this man said is correct. Something I never considered before is how much these bots are affecting browser market share. I'm also starting to wonder if this is affecting OS market share as well.
  9. They can upload it here, I don't put up with woke nonsense. I am now 100% convinced that they could have provided mod tools. I wonder how much garbage they added to the game that they don't want modders to remove.
  10. Apparently this game can be modded, but this woke nonsense has left a bad taste in my mouth.
  11. This woke crap is probably why this game has no mod support. They probably think that players can't remove Body Type 1 and Body Type 2 without mod tools. People need to start calling these weirdos Body Type 1 and Body Type 2. That will stop this nonsense in a hurry.
  12. I'm definitely not going to buy this game now. They just couldn't help themselves.
  13. I would love to see the data folder for this game. If it still uses .esp and .esm files and they haven't changed how the engine reads those files, modders could import mods from the original Oblivion. The problem I see is that they would probably have to change the meshes and textures to work with Unreal Engine 5. It will be interesting to see how modding evolves with this game, if it happens at all.
  14. No meltdowns today. I am swinging at a low percentage in this thread.
  15. If the original engine is still working under the hood, then it's possible for someone to hack together unofficial modding tools. This is actually a good thing. No official mod support means no paid mods! LOL. I've done a complete 180 on this game.
  16. The only thing that could have made me buy this. Oh well, I guess I'll play Skyblivion when it comes out. Bethesda confirms that (official) mods are not supported with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered https://www.resetera.com/threads/bethesda-confirms-that-official-mods-are-not-supported-with-the-elder-scrolls-iv-oblivion-remastered.1170363/
  17. Nothing about mods it looks like. So that's a no buy for me. The game doesn't look woke, but I'll wait for some hands-on impressions from YouTubers I trust. All in all, I'll keep playing the original. I'm starting to think that Bethesda was behind the leaks. And Todd Howard is a liar. This is the last time I give this guy the benefit of the doubt. He can travel from the future in a Delorean, park in my driveway, offer me winning lottery numbers, and I will not believe him.
  18. Looks like it's just a remaster and not a remake.
  19. LOL. Todd you lying son of a...
