Doublezero Posted Friday at 05:09 PM Author Posted Friday at 05:09 PM LOL, Todd fell into the same trap with Starfield that Bioware did with Andromeda. 1 Quote

RitualClarity Posted Saturday at 01:54 AM Posted Saturday at 01:54 AM The actual fact is they were forced to remove the flags from the game demo by the owners. The key in my opinion was "demo" and for "owners". Who knows if they would hvae had to remove it later after it was released. As for Valeguard. Chance are they would but that would cost money and they don't want to rework a game that has been already released. Not to that level. Just my opinion. I like to think that the owners got wind that the developers of the game were told to remove the flags from the demo and decided nope. WE have to shut this place down. Their history proves they can't work with us. Likely, I like to think, they were told when the new owners took control that they were told to stop that bullshit and tone it down. They were warned. All this is my own thoughts. No evidence. It does track with what happened though IMO Quote

Millennial 'humor' from 2015 to 2020, woke trash from 2020 until now. Have to wonder what Leftists will do next to fuck up gaming. Quote

They will find a way to fuck it up. Maybe there might be a good use for A.I as it developes. Maybe someone could go through and de fuckify some of the games that have been released recently and make a decent game out of it Then distribute it as a mod. One could dream! Quote

ClownfishTV has been posting videos for months about how some companies have been refusing to hire millennials. I believe the McDonald's memes are on point. Quote

My place of work only hires millennials and younger. I think in the past year maybe 2 people were hired that were older. With Bioware being shut down and the reasons like not having any decent game for the past 10 years. I think the industry is now moving from SJW politics and looking at BSG 3 and many games from the east making big $$$ and waking up and not hiring these "developers". So, with all their "experience" and "skill" they are unhirable in the gaming industry. Some might be able to color their hair normally and take out 20 piercing and go buy reguarl professional clothes and with luck and practice get a new job in the industry. Some of them that are very public likely won't. There is another possiblity of a job for them. At colleges that teach gaming. They have the "experience" that they (the colloges want). The colleges are still very SJW and want that. 1 Quote
RitualClarity Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I wonder if the owners of EA and Bioware IP would decide to start another studio with non SJW properly qualified serious game developers. If they did, The owners would have access to some serious IP power. I'd see perhaps a future where they reworked Mass Effect (come on, each game was mechanically different. Jarringly so) as well as some of the other IP. If they did so they could start with a engine of their choice (the best one for their purposes) Rework the original sound and such. Upgrade the graphics and animations. These can be used through all 2, 3 or more games they create. AT that point as I understand it, (with my semi limited understanding of this) they just need to write the story, set the enviroment and quest etc. and be done. This is an over simplication but they won't have to re-invent the wheel (new graphics and tools) for each of the games. If they use a game engine that is good for PVE/PVP they can add that anytime. Hear me out. They make a Mass Effect Studio and only have that studio work on that or those projects. If they are successful they continue working and have job security, if they fail, then they and that studio gets shut down. Same for Dragon Age. They can rework what they have to create a updated and good game for people to play. If that "studio" fails then they fail and loose their job. I got that idea from the previous video where the person mentioned that game studios should do like they do for Hollywood. Hire for a project. In this case, they can continue to work on the "project" or future releases. Using the same tools and such, they can also retroactively update the previous games (graphics, animations etc) while fixing bugs, (which would benifit all the games as they are all based on the same engine and game mechanics. Draw back? Yes, when the engine updates they would have to work on ONE engine and update ALL the assets and scripts. Even those that aren't on the current game development. It would cost more in a way. This is where they would loose the benifit of effectivness with the above. However, I think if the game is great. The players would appreciate updates to all their games so they can continue to play all of them without OS issues or other bugs as computers develop and OS move forward. One upside to this is if the engine is able to be moved to Linux or some future OS the entire collection of games can move over as well with less effort or issues. Quote

It would probably cost them well over $100 million to develop the game, and EA is reportedly only interested in something that's a guaranteed money maker. Bioware blew it, and Mass Effect fans need to move on. Also, on the subject of Millennials. Quote
