Those are poor examples from a poorly written game. Brynjolf calls a 200 yr old elf PC lad or lass. He even calls Karliah 'lass' and not only is she 170 yrs older than him, she outranks him. As for the Companions, any of the members who aren't in the Circle (ie werewolves) are whelps, newbloods or younglings. That includes the old drunk in leather armor and Vignar Gray Mane. Realistically, I made the mod for myself so you shitting on it has zero effect. It is what it is. -
The race uses base game Nord Race presets so whatever voice the preset has in the CK (Male even toned or Male Nord) that's what they have ingame. I used the PC Headtrackng mod to assign him the old kindly voice and the shout sounds worked. I use that mod for vanilla race characters as well. Can't have a 6'3" Amazonian Nord valkyrie using any other voice but Martina Lotun's.

Practically everyone in Skyrim is inept/corrupt/arrogant/oblivious to the point of stupidity. The instances of the game breaking immersion when I'm playing as a NORD are too many to count. My top instance as a vanilla race: The Companions have never heard of me even though I'm Thane in three cities (including the one they're in) and I defeated Alduin. Bards sing about me but I'm not famous? At least I can take cunt Vilkas outside and one-shot him with my dragonbone greatsword enchanted with fire and paralyzation. Anyway. I played this character through all of the main quest and the college up to when the Anomalies attack Winterhold. There weren't any extra instances of immersion breaking. In fact, playing as an old geezer allowed me to head canon that there has to be something in the water because all these people are idiots.
