bugthesda's engine is so old It is a suprise that it still functions (somewhat).
Modding should be eaiser than that nowadays when computer gaming tools have advanced to where they are now. -
Hello,
I was on some of my Discord servers and learned that EA has allegidly have a bug on their side that might cause a delay on the authors getting a fix depending on what their mods do. Just an FYI. I am not personally in contact with EA or do the mods to know 100% if this is true or what it is about. Just that there are claims that EA has a bug on their end and are working on it. I would assume that as soon as they fix their end it will be quick fix on the mod authors side.

Besdies the bilionairs screwwing the public, your governor and mayor's are doing the same with the real estate taxes. Insane taxes. In democratic states they are struggling to come up with ever more imaginative taxes they can give the public so they can take that money and give it to those that don't contribute or in fact, likely aren't even citizens.

I just confortably did a combination command to install APT packs as well as Flatpack and cleanup all the files once done. I was proud of myself until I kicked myself in the behind when I remembered that I should also add clear and exit to that list.
lol.
Talk about fast, all updates were done in less than 5 minutes along with the cleanups. All were verbose so I could see and accept the changes (that is what slowed things down when it ask if I wanted it Yes/No. Otherwise it would have been even faster
Now I need to get all the apps I added to my linux setup together so I can sudo apt that shit into one updated/install/clean command for the next time I install linux lol
If it wasn't for 1. me not having another gaming machine and 2. the need for windows for simplifying my life in regards to both some games not working (online games) and mods needing windows components to make my live easier (Idon't have the skill yet to configure it that deeply so that it can run windows games well) I'd be 100% in linux now. Just the difference is the distro I would use.
On a side note are anyone here excited to see the Steam machines to come out? I am. Just because at a minimum that is meaning that Linux gaming has nit main stream now. The report from @Doublezero above about EA hiring a dedicated anticheat programer is even more confirmation that the market is moving towards games on Linux as a valid and more importatntly supported option.

I can't believe that is coming from EA of all places.
I will accept it regardless.

Another stupid law from a stupid goverment of California.
Can't be enforced at least the "all" operating systems.
Another leftist pipe dream. Still not addressing the actual concern and issue of pedos getting into children centric parts of the web. Or course they don't want to do that. Why, just look up Epstein Files. YOu will quickly find out that information. They want to CONTROL and MONITOR people. That is the main reason for this. The "protection" is a lie.

Key Details for Activating Mods
-
Locate the Folder: Mods must be placed in the
Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Modsfolder. - Enable in Settings: In-game, check "Enable Custom Content and Mods" and "Script Mods Allowed" under the "Other" tab in Options.
- Restart Required: You must restart the game after checking these boxes for them to work.
- Post-Update Action: Game updates often disable mods automatically; you will need to re-enable them.
-
File Types: Ensure you are using
.packagefiles for custom content and.ts4scriptfiles for script mods. - Subfolders: Avoid putting mods too deep in subfolders within the Mods folder, as they may not work.

She needs to "gleen" how stupid she is. All she needs to do is watch videos where lawyers, politicians and pretty much everyone has had to correct her stupid mistakes time and time again.

Weak unprepared politicians like that is an open invitation for China to do what it wants and dare us to do something about it.
If Kackles was president, China likely would have already taken that country. China isn't stupid. It is powerful but not as strong as the US. They know that any fafo event would greatly harm them IF the US backed their policies. A weak president won't and that is a problem. As much as many don't like Trump, he is likely one of if not the only one preventing this shit from happening.
Iran FAFO when they kept on enriching uranium. They thought Trump was just like Biden and weak. They found out. Even if we can't stop them from creating the bomb, we need to make it as costly and lenghty as humanly possible. Make them pay for it at every step. They didn't learn and now the news is stating Trump is sending a lot of ships over there.
Countries like this will just poke and prod all day pushing their agenda until they can't. A process they hope will weaken the resolve of the free world. (currently the US as the EU went left and England went the way of comunist. Preventing simple comments from beng said without going and doing hard jail time. Anyone gets offended the offender goes to jail, except those that are immagrants. Citizens that pay the taxes and provide the resources are restricted. Communist country it is now)-

Made a Libtard's head explode the other day. He was off on rant about gun control. He said, "Do you know what the number one killer of children is in this country?"
I answered, "Abortion."And you would be correct, sir!
Seriously, very few if any actually learn about the subject they are passionate about. Then they get mad when facts get in the way of their "cause".

I still have a computer (for gaming). The rest is Linux with one being chromebook. (2 linux systems, one Windows 11 and one chromebook)
I currrnelty have them all setup on my desk now. I have a single mouse that I can swtich over(with backkup mice to use if it fails) The keyboards slide under or in front (in the case of the gaming machine) I haven't found a decent keyboard that can run all three the way I want it to.
My printer can be used from Linux, windows and chromebook. Scan with two of those machines (haven't downloaded or installed the linux brother drivers yet. this is just using native Linux programs etc. Also ther eare some isseus with my VPN so that it blocks things.
P.S God bless GOG!

I've heard good things about Zorin. Haven't used it myself. Mint is still good for noobs. However, someone that has had some miles under their keyboard in regards to Linux might want to move over to Zorin. IMO. At least it is better than Unbuntu.
On a different subject.
I had a problem with my VPN. It was leaking all of a sudden. After the most recent Mint update or Nord update not sure which is the problem.QuoteIf NordVPN's kill switch is leaking traffic on Linux Mint, ensure it is activated via terminal (nordvpn set killswitch on) and verify that the NordVPN firewall is enabled (nordvpn settings). The kill switch on Linux often needs manual activation. For stronger protection, configure UFW (Uncomplicated Firewall) to block all non-VPN traffic. Here are specific steps to address the leak:-
Activate the Native Kill Switch: Run
nordvpn set killswitch onto enable the built-in feature. -
Check Settings: Use
nordvpn settingsto confirmKill SwitchandFirewallare both enabled. -
Verify Traffic: If traffic still passes, the application-level kill switch may not be sufficient. Consider implementing a UFW-based, system-level kill switch that blocks all traffic except through the
tun0interface. -
Restart Daemon: Sometimes the
nordvpndaemon needs a restart to properly apply firewall rules:sudo systemctl restart nordvpnd.
Note that in newer NordVPN Linux versions, LAN traffic might be allowed by default even with the kill switch on, which can be restricted usingnordvpn set lan-discovery off.Seriously? I tried it with another disto and it worked properly. The fact that something can fail even when turned on in Linux is very concerning.
I've decided ot go down the rabit hole of learning DNS settings and firewall ports and settings so as to manually setup connections. It is something I need to do in order to setup some complex task I want to do in the future. (having differnt net connections, VPNs, etc.) Lots of good stuff! lol.
