I missed the FlexNet licensing folder and the registry settings. Installing that fixed the error, but I still couldn't get past the splash screen. Enough of my hardheadedness. I just installed a Windows 7 virtual machine. It's time for me to get back to modding. That just proves that many, even complex programs such as this can run on Linux and that the companies are actively trying to prevent it. Not because of security issues but because they don't want it on Linux. Likely due to some back room bullcrap from Windows. Just like the online games anti cheat. Can work easily. Hell if it doesn't there is an army of people willing to assist. They likley would sign a NDA just to get it to work. They can give binaries no problems that is done with other sources as well. I easily got Cinema 4D R4 running using Bottles, and it works just as well as it does on Windows. With R4, I can do this: 1 Quote
