Same problem I'm having. Oh well, I'll just download a Windows 7 iso and set up a virtual machine. WineHQ - 3D Studio MAX 2013 (32 bit)

So I downloaded 3ds Max 2013 from archive.org and tried to install it on my Linux laptop using Bottles, but kept getting a Microsoft.net 4.0 error even though I installed the dependency. I tried again using Winetricks and got no errors, but the installation failed for some reason. I will keep trying though. I'm ready to dance on the grave of Windows. Also, I want to try making my own animations for Fallout 4, so this is a must.

I see Kubuntu has a Windows 10 desktop look. I like it. I might go with it as the OS for my next PC.

This is probably caused by some background processes that's doing some large database queries. I'll look into it.

Google is facing a class-action lawsuit for stealing user data when Chrome is in incognito mode. No doubt Microsoft will face a similar lawsuit if they're caught doing this. They really have some numbskulls working there if they think they can get away with this.

Yup. There was a lot of chatter months ago that Microsoft was going to kill local accounts. They must think that people want AI in their OS so much that they are willing to ignore these changes because nothing else about their decisions makes sense to me. The reality is that Microsoft (and Google) have peaked and are losing market share to competitors and they seem to be throwing ideas at the wall to see what sticks.
