  1. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2018/11/apples-t2-chip-will-block-some-third-party-repairs-of-new-devices/ An Apple fanboy is either an idiot or is a billionaire who shits money... but most likely an idiot...
  2. You can now purchase Fallout 76 Atoms with real money, and here's what it costs 500 Atoms: $4.99 / £3.99 1000 Atoms (+100): $9.99 / £7.99 2000 Atoms (+ 400): $19.99 / £15.99 4000 Atoms (+ 1000): $40.00 / £31.99 https://www.pcgamer.com/fallout-76-atoms-prices/ What?! Do you guys not have wallets???
  3. Still remember Skyrim's horrible texture compression artifacts on everyone's nose, including the PC... or what about that horrible feet... IIRC Fallout 4's feet wasn't all that good either. Yes, mods fixed that later in Skyrim... A random mod maker does a better job for free, than your employee who got paid to do the same job and was terrible at it. This, to me, is another clear indication of a high degree of incompetence.
  4. I don't know if it's this bad in Skyrim, it probably is, but when I watch Fallout 3/4/76 videos on YT, I keep noticing the "flatness" of lighting... Don't know how to describe it, but it either seems too bright (esp. interiors), or maybe there isn't enough shadows, I can't tell, but the environmental lighting looks very flat, plain, kind of dry and unnatural in these games.
  5. Very good, at least some people have started to become more vocal about the pig with lipstick...
  6. Grrr I fukn hate this board software. I miss the good old days of formatting your plain text message with BBCode...
  7. Dead hors... I mean Fallout 76 has been released and... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dr8GZ2mV4AATlC1.jpg
  8. You know what, it would be hilarious and obviously very insulting to Bethesda, if that Skyrim multi-player mod turned out to be more stable and fun than this FO76 shit show.
  9. Skyrim can be turned into an immersive porn simulator of decent quality if you've got the mods and a female character to abuse. If one's looking for challenging combat or other types of gratifications, he should look elsewhere, dunno, maybe Dark Souls or something. I'm only interested in realism in games, never look for "challenge" as I'm never given a medal or some monetary reward for successfully completing a video game. Challenge isn't my idea of fun. Anyway, after 7 years, if someone were to ask my opinion about the undeniably good things about Skyrim (on a PC obviously), I'd have to say moddability, its semi-sandbox nature, voiceless, classless customisable protagonist, the music and the bookshelves and so on.
  10. Honestly, even if you gave Bethesda the most contemporary, state of the art game engine, they'd still produce shit games. Their engine isn't the real problem, it's what they couldn't do with it. Fine, you don't have good ideas for a game, then make a shit game, but at least make it bug free... Nope, can't even do that. Clear indication of incompetence.
  11. Downloadable content that is identical or even inferior to free mods...
  12. "They think the engine is this one thing" is like saying "They think the human body is this one thing"... A game engine IS one thing comprised of multiple components. That's why people call it "engine", instead of "graphics renderer" etc. Yeah, we don't understand what a game engine is...
  13. Apparently this is old news. That Gamestar interview is four months old. Here is the translation on Reddit. This is the engine part... "We haven't used Gamebryo in a decade"... Then how do you explain Skyrim having Fallout 3 stuff in it?
  14. OMG! Kendo, what do you think you're doing inviting the fanboys here for an unmoderated discussion, are you out of your mind? That's gonna start WW3 or something!
  15. He wouldn't be able to do much if it's just me having those issues.
  16. I'm curious to see if that thread can reach double digit pages without getting locked... Although I'll probably won't read it, as it has already become pretty annoying. One ignorant idiot compares it to Windows, forgetting the fact that Windows has always had an associated version number and has changed drastically since the early 90's. Not to mention it's not a graphics engine which needs to showcase the capabilities of contemporary graphics hardware in order to market itself.
  17. Almost everything on this forum works painfully slow for me for some reason. I have to wait quite a while after pressing the submit button until my post shows up, or to display the list of emojis and so on. I don't have these kinds of issues on other forums, such as LL or Nexus, which presumably use the same IPB version.
  18. And there it is, friends! The ugly truth!...
  19. Not surprising, but still slightly disappointing, as I somehow naively hoped that they'd change their stupid ways... What he basically says here is that they are adamant about making more cash grab games that keep getting shallower and shallower. Makes sense, of course... less work, more money... I don't blame these lazy asses, they are able to do it because they have no competition and they also have stupid masses who are ready to buy, test and fix every shitty game they produce.
  20. I honestly don't understand why MS bought these studios, as neither of them was very successful. Both of them had to resort to crowd funding in order to survive and neither of them has produced a massive hit. I wonder how this will affect the projects they've already been working on. I'm particularly interested in Cain and Boyarsky's project, The Outer Worlds or something.
  21. Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarski are currently playing Fallout on Twitch. Kind of hilarious as they seem to have forgotten how to play it. https://www.twitch.tv/obsidian https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r754jkd3hD8
