  1. Keep seeing Millenial girls, such as this one, who complain about having to shave their body hair and blaming men for it, as if men are forcing them to do it... This must be a new trend among them. Well, ladies, the species you belong to is a product of ancestors who preferred partners with thinner body hair and that's why you don't look like a chimp today... well, at least in terms of the amount of body hair anyway... But I agree with you, you really should stop shaving/waxing your body hair, your mustache, your unibrow, and you should also stop doing make up, dying your hair and all the other things you do to deceive men. Because you are slowing down the evolution by sexual selection, you may even be reversing it without knowing... I honestly wouldn't want the human race to turn into hairy chimps again. I bet chimps would have a good laugh if we did...
  2. @Kendo 2 The reason why I came here was to avoid this sort confrontations altogether, especially for something as pointless as this. There's obviously a misunderstanding going on, maybe I wasn't clear enough, but I really don't want to deal with a person who replies with a wall of insults. I really don't need this. Will probably delete my account and move on if I can figure out how.
  3. It was after you tried to correct me for no reason, you stupid little fuck. Do you see anything about your "EA lying" bullshit in the three posts that precede yours? No. Because I was arguing about greedy practices, legality of gambling and capitalism. Did anyone ask your idea about what "the real problem" was? No. When you brought that up, I asked about what they were lying about and you posted an article and I said that they could do it as long as it was legal, you of course didn't get it and kept babbling about it while mixing it up with legal actions about gambling, which at that point were totally unrelated. Yeah, really, WHAT THE FUCK? I've tried to kept it as civil as possible, but I'm tired of your bullshit, your patronizing tone, stupid accusations and constant insults, so I've given up. I don't know what you think you'll gain with all this bullshit you've posted on a forum with less than a handful of people posting, but I don't need it. Find yourself another Millenial of your age and argue with him instead.
  4. English is my third language and I was hoping that you were done arguing with me... This is the EA thread and there are multiple different issues that have been discussed through the pages about their bad practices, but on the very page in which you claimed that the loot-boxes and gambling "wasn't the real issue", there are two videos about that issue discussing it and you only focus on one of the issues and keep saying that they lied and hid things about how the micro-transactions and unlocking things worked in a particular game. The question is simple... Can you or anyone else take a legal action against them for that? No? Then the case is closed. Yes, I'm fully aware that the US and many European countries have mixed economies. All I've said is that you can't defend capitalism while criticizing greedy, exploitative business practices. Was it really all that difficult to understand? Why? Because they're too stupid to ask for a refund? "I don't understand what you're talking about therefore you are a troll"... Right... You're the one who tried to correct something which you didn't even understand, and now accusing me of changing the topic of the discussion while it was you who did it in the first place by changing the topic into "lying, hiding", while my post was about "legal rules and government economies" and then jumped into a pointless discussion with me.
  5. The first part of the article was about loot-boxes and gambling, which you tried to dismiss, the rest is basically complaining about a product, which has nothing to do with what I'm arguing about. Complaining about a video game, because it's either too expensive to obtain in-game items or it takes extremely long to unlock things is very childish, you can simply say that it's a shit game and never buy it. The practice may be despicable but there's absolutely nothing illegal about it. In the end, they've changed the game and fixed those issues, not because it was illegal, but because they wanted to sell the product. It's the country's laws what dictate a person or a company can or cannot do, if it's legal, then they can do it. I'm the one who's "trolling" for just stating an obvious fact? The relation between capitalism, so called free market and shady, anti-consumer business practices is, which you apparently fail to realize, when you want "government hand" to regulate the "free market" to protect consumers, you basically admit the fact that the "free market" doesn't really work as well as you thought and it needs a pinch of socialism to make things right, which is what those European countries have been doing. Fine with me, because you don't even bother to read the article you post, you don't even try to understand what I'm arguing about, don't know why but happens with you all the time.
  6. You said gambling wasn't the real issue in your previous message, yet the article you've linked clearly states otherwise in its very first paragraph... Some European countries have demanded removal of certain features from certain games as they consider loot-boxes as gambling and this is the only "legal" issue here. As the paragraph above also states that loot-boxes and micro-transactions are not considered as gambling by ESRB in the US, they are under no obligation to explicitly state anything else other than the game's ESRB rating. No matter what you think of the issue, they clearly have no reason to lie about the nature of their games or hide anything about them. These may be infuriatingly greedy business practices, but there's absolutely nothing illegal about them, not yet anyway, at least not in the US and in many other countries. And honestly, people may complain about a game being extremely grindy, but all they have to do is not to buy the game if they don't like it.
  7. Battle of Anchorage... Unemployed Chinese Twitch thots invade Alaska...
  8. Well, they create jobs... in China... and in the future they will create jobs... for robots...
  9. I've read/watched most of them and I don't recall any case where the game wouldn't work at all unless you've bought a loot-box, which would then be easily categorized as scam, which never happened. Other than that, "reasonable" isn't really an objective definition. Articles/videos I've read/watched so far mostly focus on whether or not having loot-boxes in video games can be categorized as gambling, which is why some European countries took action. By the way, the reason why I'm (kind of) arguing about the issue is not because I like or approve loot-boxes or anything what these companies have been doing. I'm only implying that it's kind of hypocritical to defend capitalism and free market while complaining about anti-consumer practices.
  10. What exactly are those companies hiding or lying about? You don't see anyone complaining about Bethesda's Fallout Shelter, for instance, which is game that has loot-boxes (they call them Lunchboxes) with random content in it, which you can purchase with real money. As far as I can see, "ESRB Teen" is the only rating that game has. Why shouldn't other companies get away with that?
  11. I honestly can't imagine how an underage kid could ruin his life by gambling, they don't own anything of value yet and still use their parent's money or credit card. For those kids, addiction to video games is potentially more concerning. As for adults, gambling is a freedom, a choice, much like smoking and drinking alcohol, try banning or restricting those and see how they'll defend their freedom to death.
  12. Don't get me wrong, I have no intention to start a political discussion or somehow derail the topic, and I'm aware that what I'm going to write has the potential to do both, but let me just be the devil's advocate for a moment... as this might be something to consider... So, why are people even against "greedy companies" like EA, and their "exploitative" schemes such as loot boxes, micro-transactions and so on? They are simply trying to maximize their profits in any way a company can and they are under no obligation to be pro-consumer, right? Is it just because what they do can be considered as "gambling" and gambling is deemed to be illegal? Why would it be illegal? Because it's "exploitative"? But isn't that the very thing what marketing/advertisement is based on, or at least relies on? After all, isn't this how capitalism works? Isn't it a free market economy? "Don't like it? Then don't buy it!"... sounds perfectly reasonable to me...
  13. Looks like Bethesda will have to retcon the shit out of Fallout lore... on Twitter... https://twitter.com/Fallout/status/1052640333664833536 As if that's even an explanation... You couldn't create new factions and used BoS and Super Mutants, simply because you're so goddamn incompetent, and now you have to cover up the holes with the shit right out of your ass... Good job!
  14. Chris Avellone tweeted this shit yesterday... https://twitter.com/ChrisAvellone/status/1052777362444582914 Reeeally? So you've never heard of the multiplayer Fallout games before, such as FOnline? Which had existed long before Bethesda even thought about MP. Oh, wait... maybe you meant micro-transactions and shit... Well, I already knew you were a sellout. Anyway, fuck you! https://twitter.com/ChrisAvellone/status/1052405197421522944 Shill...
  15. Not 100% sure, but it kinda looks like a database issue. Search function is still working but there seems to be some issues accessing user, channel and video databases and maybe even more. I hope they have backups.
  16. Yes, even if you can reach the page you want, most videos are "unavailable" right now. https://www.engadget.com/2018/10/16/youtube-outage/ https://www.cnet.com/news/youtube-experiences-widespread-outage/ https://kotaku.com/youtube-is-down-1829801276
  17. Youtube is down everywhere in the world, must be the first time it's ever happened. Not sure if it's related to ICANN's DNS maintenance. I'm using Youtube Classic addon on FF which disables the new UI and makes YT really fast, for that reason all I get is "An error occurred. Please try again." message, but if I switch to Opera, I get the 500 Internal Server Error with purple monkey.
  18. Not as savage as this, I don't think.
  19. Perhaps, this guy would be a better choice, he's a pretty talented actor...
  20. They've already killed Fallout with Fallout 3, for the fans of the originals, now they are killing it again with FO4 and 76, for the fans of Fallout 3 and NV. These people are either really stupid or they really want to kill off the IP for some reason...
  21. When I watch old Carl Sagan videos, YT suggests "flat earth" videos... which I suppose is somewhat similar?
  22. You don't know who Julian Assange is? What are you, a Millenial?! Wait... are you serious? He'd probably hack email accounts of monsters and then blackmail them... a different kind of witcher work...
  23. I know it's too late now, but I've found a Geralt...
  24. Had to skip most of it as I couldn't stand her, she's extremely annoying. If there's one thing more annoying than kids, it has to be adults literally acting like a kid... And that poor cat has to deal with two lunatics... I wouldn't want to be her real father, this must be very embarrassing for him...
  25. Sees a glacier in Antarctica and thinks "This must be the Ice Wall, yes, the Earth is definitely flat!"... People who lived thousands of years ago were smarter and better informed than these idiots... Ignorance and stupidity is "extremely dangerous to our democracy!"
