There will be alot of regret from users that used this as well. In order for AI to even be competent, it needs massive amounts of data. YOUR data if you want it personalized.  It has to be paid for, so you will give permissions for all those searches to be paid for by your input, tracking what you have done and what you have asked.

The companies have tried to get all our information and just found another way to do data mining of our information. I don't think that most people understand how valuable this information is. Google is a trillion-dollar company. What have you paid google? What has people you know paid google? Next to nothing, if anything. It is a data mining company. From your emails to your searches and phone uses (if you use a google phone or even google apps on your apple phone)

Google's information on googles data retention. Notice most times it says ... "most data".  ;)

(sorry for the formatting. I don't know why it did that and it didn't want to be fix. )

Another former Windows user. I guarantee that when the AI bubble bursts, there will be a lot of regret at the tech companies pushing this AI crap.

Has anyone told him of VM with pass through?  He can still use win10 if it is just to game. Of course there is still a risk of exploits etc but dividing your computing helps lower your overall online risk. He can also do as I did and use 11 and not give a dam about the bloat. If it is a gaming computer it is likley powerful enough to VM and a linix.

More full screen popups for Windows 10 users, even at startup! I'm glad I switched to Linux, these popups are frustrating. They seem desperate to get Windows 10 users to upgrade.

My employer has one of those subscriptions for commercial 365. You know, the one where they roll it out to all the people in their organization that needs this.

Well, apparently I and several others are being prompted to pay for a 365 as ours is no longer valid. They give a doom date and pop that motherfucker up near full screen at least 2-3 times a day. With constant bar present telling us that our subscription no longer is valid and we need to pay for another one to continue the service.

Our Help Desk has no clue why it is happening to people. At least none that they will tell the employees that are being hit with this. They confirm that we are on the list (still) and our subscriptions are still valid. That is about all they can do.

Just another crappy thing Microsoft is doing to their customers. It is either crappy or incompetent. Which ever you want to think it is. In both cases, totally unnecessary and uncalled-for.

I leave work and come home to my Linux machines with some free office option and a little minor notification from time to time telling me I have some updates available and get right to whatever I want to do without any bullshit. Continue doing what I want until I decide to update. The free office products are about as good as Microsoft Office, and when you consider the cost and not having to deal with Microsoft bullshit... WAY more valuable.

I am so glad I pushed myself to use Linux more and more and even more glad when I decided I was going to use it 100% for day to day stuff (minus games). Wish I started this sooner. Next step is getting a decent computer and passing through a graphics card and whatever else I need and virtualizing Windows so that I can treat it like the bitch it is. With zero worries (snapshot) knowing I can roll back whatever bullshit update they send or the like.
