It's not a actual game, yet. It's still under development. They do release two demo version. The free version on Steam, which offers a decent amount. And the Patreon version, which offers a little more. Is it worth the 10 bucks for the current Patreon version? I think so. I wouldn't fork out cash every month. Maybe when the game actually gets finished. and if there is mod support, then maybe then it will deserve a mod section. Whether you the Steam, or Patreon version, the one thing we can share is, gameplay saves, saves that include any edits you've done, and you can even share any saved presets. ritualclarity Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 I guess you could get the Patron one if it has the tools you need to do what you want. Skip other months until there is a good release again that has features you want. However, in the end you won't own the game if they sell it I assume you would only have the last Alpha or Beta that they released. That and you likely will be paying more in the long run. Something like this would need to be really worth it. Some of what you have shown @endgameaddiction is very useful and valuable. Another concern is they can change stuff later and block much of what you can do to mod the game now. Hopefully there is a confirmed path mentioned in the Patron for when /if they release it. What they wlil do etc. Another thing I was thinking of, is they might not release it as a game at all. Just keep on having an old "free version" on Steam and have patron access to all the good stuff that they developed. Others could create patrons as a partner for mods and tools and it wouldln't ever officially see the light of day. They could have a continuious stream of $$$ A few years ago I mentioned (I believe shortly after Fallout 4 release ) that LL should have an game that can be modified from the ground up. Start a framework for a new game instead of reverse engineering a game to create a frame work for an exsisting game. People could add to it as they wanted. This seems like the game I mentioned. Lots of flexiblity, easy to change and mod. Quote
endgameaddiction Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 If they stay true to their word, and it doesn't have any of that woke jibberish, I'll more than likely buy the game. So far they have kept working on it since 2018. But like usual, I won't hold my breath. nor get myself worked up over it. 1 Quote
endgameaddiction Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 (edited) Just found out about saving props. It allows you to save props and use them in new sandboxes without having to recreate it from scratch. Pretty cool. Something else you can share as a file like presets, autosaves and sandbox (editor mode) saves. I made a quanset hut a while ago and duplicated them to have a total of 8 for my sandbox. Spoiler Adding the quanset hut prop to a different sandbox, Spoiler Last few days been working on making a saloon. Spoiler Will save the saloon as a prop once I finish it. That doesn't mean his company won't be sabotaged and then snatched away from him al a Gary Gygax. 1 Quote
endgameaddiction Posted Sunday at 07:11 AM Posted Sunday at 07:11 AM (edited) Last weekend I decide to scrap the sandbox builds I had created ever since I learnt about saving collection props and create the props I want so that later I can then create a new sandbox of the theme I want. Lately I've been doing just that. I made sandboxes dedicated to the props I will work on ranging from buildings/structures, furniture, etc. If you are familiar with the cell of ZAZ Animation Pack for Skyrim that displays all the cool furniture and structures, that's basically what I'm doing. Then at some point I'll create a sandbox with a theme I'm aiming for to add the props. Anyways, I found something interesting that I was hoping would be possible. https://rentry.org/4tcfke Edited Sunday at 07:24 AM by endgameaddiction Quote
ritualclarity Posted Sunday at 05:31 PM Posted Sunday at 05:31 PM Once it gets done or really large, it will likely be sold. If not now, later when the developers get older and/or get bord of the project and decide or get other more interesting offers. Quote

I'll be honest, the main story doesn't grab my attention. I'm more interested in the sandbox. And wondering if in the official release the editor will have more than it does now. They do all their discussions on discord and I don't do discord. If they had a forum community, that would be nice. Quote

If they had a forum community, that would be nice. Get a browser that you don't normally use and do the Discord. Just that one. It sounds like it might be useful in this situation. Create a disposible discord that you only use tor that. I know discord can be complete shit and such but sometimes it can be a useful tool. I have alternate discords as well. I also have a browser (hell an entire computer ) to do shit that I wouldn't do on my main computer. You can also just install a linux in a virtual machine and have it only do the discord. They can't see anything but what is on that VM. (Still can see your IP but that can be fixed with a free VPN or something like that) There are ways to get what you want without dealing or h aving that shit on your main machine is all I am saying. I have an old Intel Mac that I do some Apple shit on. Not much now but it can be used. (Note to self I need to setup open core so that I can update the OS lol) A chromebook that I do Google shit on. A low end laptop that I do this stuff on. Posting here and other gaming sites. and a main gaiming rig that has alt accounts that I use for my general public gaming and such. @Doublezeroperhaps we should setup a section for this game? Maybe @endgameaddictioncan start some quick easy tutorials for those that are interested in the game. Another cool thing maybe is a site server from someone here that can set it up for us to play in. ( I assume it is like Conan and has a private server option. ... yes, I was lazy and didn't check lol) @endgameaddictionthanks for all the updates on the game. Quote
endgameaddiction Posted Sunday at 08:57 PM Posted Sunday at 08:57 PM (edited) Some props I've been working on the last couple of days. Some are still WIP. Spoiler Oh, did this too when I was building a saloon before scrapping it along with the other sandboxes. I had also made an black iron candle holder/stand thingy for the center table using one of the vanilla candles, but I didn't realize the prop I saved was the table again instead of the candle and candle holder. I'll have to remake it. Spoiler And some structures and buildings too. You've already seen the front porch. I made a small basic log shack. Still needs work. And I'm also working on building a tower of luxury apartments. it will have 6-8 apartments each floor, and I'm aiming for 10-12 floors. The floor beneath will be the lobby on one side that will have some thrift shops and a small grocery store, while the other side will be a double floor car garage. Not much to see at the moment, but once done will save the building as well as a prop. The blocks are temporary until I build a tub, dining table, kitchen countertop, etc. to put in. And the center of the building will be where I will put two, or four elevators. Spoiler Edited Sunday at 09:10 PM by endgameaddiction Quote

endgameaddiction Posted yesterday at 02:56 PM Posted yesterday at 02:56 PM (edited) Cool. I would like to hope that mod support will be implemented, I will say that the last post I made, those two short videos were created by a female that goes by NewFrontiers365 on Reddit and YT. She made a video about how to create a robot using a character. The many characters you see from other videos of hers are characters shared to her by the devs. We don't have access to them until the full game. If @Kendo 2 checks out her vids, he's going to realize that he has more than enough to work with to create his comics. But since the game is supposed to be released this year, I would say wait and wait for reviews. I will do the same. If the sandbox editor doesn't have more to offer than what it currently does, I don't see any point in purchasing the game since I am not after this game for the story mode, but rather the sandbox (editor). Kendo 2 Posted yesterday at 03:05 PM Author Posted yesterday at 03:05 PM Yeah, think I'm going to hold off on delving into the game until I know more about the final product. I don't want to get wrapped up in learning a new toolbox and then get the rug yanked out from underneath me. 1 Quote

Keep on posting these excellent updates @endgameaddiction. Hopefully they continue and even develop more the sandbox. If they do, this might be an excellent replacement for TES and Fallout. Based on some of the post you made. It seems to be easier to work and implement the mods and scripts etc. That is if they don't start to lock down the system once they release the game. Update: I checked out the video. Nice work by her. I sub to her channel and gave a thumbs up to encourage great work. She doesn't have many videos but hopefully she will continue working and developing her presence. 3 hours ago, Kendo 2 said: Yeah, think I'm going to hold off on delving into the game until I know more about the final product. However, with all the bullshit that is happening with gaming these days, one can't be sure. Regardless of how great the dev team and producer seems to be. Even iif released and it is great. chances are someone will come in and buy the company and turn it to shit. They start hiring bullshit employees that will do it from the inside. Shit like that. Just like Avoid (:P ) the game looked great and was getting good reviews and tracktion until they showed their true face and true product that is nothing but . I buy games and stuff like that with my cash back. (when someone isn't giving it to me as a birthday or christmas gift) I have done this to over a hundred of games. I had $$$ planed for Avoid but as soon as I learned the true shit the company is and the game is... I went and paid for a year of Paramount + instead lol. No games this f***ing year for me. Fortunatly last year had some decent games that can be played in the mean time. Quote
