They don't want windows 11 spyware. They don't need A.I locally. Most people. Those that do can use the web. Serious people in AI use Linux. Spark a new machine from Nvidia is Linux. Others are coming that are also Linux. Anything that is serious for profesionals other than some email garbage is often used thorugh Linux. (since many of the back bones are build with Linux) NPUs, TPU etc. are just excuses to make a money grab. Many are aware of this and are not going to bite. Steam OS, Bazzite and others (linux) is moving for the gaming sector with a vengance. That is what most people have to pay$$$$ for to get something good. Otherwise they can run that shit (programs) in a VM in linux and have a better experience (Looking at Snapshot and easily transfering it to different divices. TL'DR Windows cooperation is shit. Has been shit for years and just getting shitter every step they take.

That's the thing, everything I use for Skyrim already can run on Linux in some manner or another. And not only that I'm told it runs it better. Will be interesting to see. A couple Skyrim modders I know are already on Linux too. One of the reasons I started thinking about dropping even the pared down Win11 stuff. (Like Atlas OS is it? Always forgetting the name! ) The newer games I'm playing are native Linux right now. So that's not an issue in my case. I have almost zero interest in the vast majority of new western games as they are still woke slop at this point. So that's not a problem. And indies tend to be Linux native or friendly as well. Really the only holdup might be stuff like Photoshop and Maya but those run on Macs. I use Macs for work so... there goes that issue for me anyway.

Question. If they stayed true to the original script, wouldn't that mean that they wouldn't have the DEI? The characters were changed to make it DEI right? I keep coming back to the fact that they need to create their own content. Fresh new content, not try to change everything that is popular to their ideas. They were popular because of what they were. They will never be as good if it is changed for DEI. It is forced and fake. There are movies that are good with good female characters, strong female characters. There are shows that have good homosexual / Bisexual characters. Of my top of my mind, Torchwood. Very popular. Wasn't forced. Witcher has lesbians Sourcers one of which is a man hater. There is a cross-dressing elf in it for Christ sakes and it won so many awards. Start making good fresh content with skill and purpose. Leave the 007s and such alone.

Win 10 is my last windows too. It's over. For anything I need windows for Linux can manage. Skyrim, MO2, and that's about it. Everything else runs on Linux already for the most part.

Install Linux. Use A VM for any Windows tools that are a MUST and can't be moved. Install it correctly and cleanly. Then make a snapshot. Use it and restore to the snapshot regularly. I only use Windows for my Windows based games. Most games are playable (from what I have read) but I want to use Windows for my Bethesda modded games and any game that owuld be on line

Generally ther is a lot of support for Linux on the web. There are forums you can join with people with way more experience than you have and lots of documentaiton. I'd advise you to stick with Debian based systems as generally that is refered to more im my experience. Also, keep in mind that just because there is support the support might be complex and beyond your ability to do. I'd also advise to have a good back up of your Home folder (personal data) and a thumb drive ready to reinstall expecially when you first start. Or even better if you have a strong machine just use a VM. You can snapshot it easily and restore with most anything that happens beyond your control. You can also install different versions of Linux like Mint or Unbuntu or Kubuntu etc. and learn and experience it . Find what you like which destop you want (KDE, plasma etc.) for your LInux. One breaks just move to the other one. Nuke and resintall. One thing ... in general,.. installing LInux is really quick especially if you are willing to use simple commands. sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade sudo apt autoclean Debian system commands to start with. It will download everything and keep it fresh. Also, unlike Windoze, I have some updates waiting to be installed for over a week. I CHOOSE when I want to install it not the OS. Also generally very few pop ups and interruptions. I was playing a game and Windows decided it was the perfect time to pop up a notification in the middle of my full screen game when I was right in the middle of a difficlut boss. What the fuck Microsoft? Seriously ? Nobody thought that maybe perhaps when specific types of programs are running you wouldn't pop up some bullshit notification. I couldn't access it and it was 4 times larger than the notification on my desktop without the game runniing. I had to alt tab out of the game to shut that bullshit down. Linux doesn't do that. That alone is worth the price of admission.

Bethesda can't seem to get anything right these days.
