  1. If you intend to mod Fallout 4, participate at Bethesda.net or one of their third party designee websites you should be aware of the End User License Agreements, Terms of Service and other considerations before you proceed. 'The Rules' for Bethesda modding have changed. This topic is for information purposes only. I will not be providing insight, interpretations or advice. This is not a discussion topic. RELEVANT LINKS Fallout 4 End User License Agreement (Steam Version) Zenimax Media Terms of Service (for Bethesda.net) Zenimax Media Terms of Service (Legal Definitions) NOTE: The licenses and terms in these links will most definitely be changed by the entities and Licencors. I will provide more links as they become available. If you are interested in protecting your original game content, check out NSFWmod's exclusive Modder's Open Source Licence. Kendo 2
  2. The TOS has the wording of a Licence agreement for software, like they are anticipating two way electronic transfers though no software is mentioned in that capacity. Basically they are wanting people to agree to something that doesn't exist or they have no prior knowledge of. Very dodgy.
  3. The Bethesda.net TOS is now available. My informed suggestion; don't upload there.
  4. It's more productive than running around locking threads because people are say things I don't like and shrieking 'drah-muh!' every time the wind blows up my skirt.
  5. Yeah, kitty cats are cool.
  6. Maybe one place to test this is individual member profile pages? You know, change your profile background and leave the rest of the forum pages as default. That might be easier to code in the CP.
  7. UPDATE The original post has been updated to include a download copy of the License and a few additional words of advice.
  8. Interpreting and drafting licenses is part of my RL job. That's why I get a kick out of game forum types telling me I don't what I'm reading when I say things they don't want to hear, particularly about Bethesda and the game they have installed.
  9. That's one of my favorite pics of yours.
  10. Think you can squeeze another hot blonde in there?

    Camilla and Ysolda

This is an older screen shot of my Camilla and Ysolda followers. Camilla is a Destruction mage and Ysolda is a dual wield combat ranger. And they are both savage sluts. I didn't over do their looks because I wanted them to be recognizable as the original NPCs, only sexier.
This is by far the best female skin replacer for Sims4 that I've found. What Elerneron has accomplished is no small feat since there are almost 20 skin variations. They all look fantastic.
  12. Welcome back to the internet.
  13. Bethesda vanilla bodies. Look at FO4 compared to Witcher3 or even MassEffect3.
  14. I uninstalled FO4 after I finished the main quest (BOS path) so I don't have my playtime stats. I know it took less than 90 hours start to finish and I had the game installed for about two weeks. FO4 was not the high point of my Fallout experience and certainly not my Bethesda high point. I won't be buying any more Bethesda products at first release. I think 'the game' we are all waiting for is the Obsidian version of FO4, that or a complete modder rebuild like Skywind wants to be.
  15. The following is a license I crafted to protect original work that is not dependent on Bethesda SoftWorks LLC software. Primarily this License protects original scripts, meshes, textures, sounds, animations and so on. As long as your content wasn't derived from Bethesda assets this license will prevent Bethesda from asserting interest over the game content you've made and shared. Contrary to Bethesda's claim, they DO NOT own your content simply because you make it work with one their games. If your content doesn't rely on Bethesda software they have no legal or moral claim to it, though be default they assert that they do. To use the License, simply include a copy of it with your original work. DO NOT edit the license. If you do, I will NOT help you should the need arise. NOTE: The language of the License is complex out of necessity. Read it carefully. For convenience I have included a doc version of the License. MODDER'S RESOURCE PROTECTED CONTENT DOWNLOAD AGREEMENT.doc A FEW WORDS OF ADVICE Do not upload your content to Steam Community WorkShop or Bethesda.net. if you want to retain control of intellectual property and your instance of creation rights. Both of those websites are controlled by corporations and their Terms of Service agreements strip you of your organic rights if you choose to participate or submit your content to them. The License provided here will legally protect you, but you would be facing a lengthy and expensive legal process if you chose to sue for just cause. To prevent that prospect simply do not participate or allow your Downloaders or Users to submit your content to Steam Community WorkShop or Bethesda.net. The License expressly states Downloaders and Users do not have interest in your content beyond what the License provides for, but that doesn't mean people won't do it anyway. At the very least, you will have this License to present if that situation comes to fruition. One way to avoid this is to state in your upload page permissions/terms documentation that Downloaders and Users are not allowed to submit your content to Steam Community WorkShop or Bethesda.net. If you have any questions or need clarification feel free to leave a comment. Happy modding.
  16. I was able to open the edit window without issue. I suggest PMing Doublezero so you can get precise answers and you can direct him as to what you want.
  17. I will answer this the best way I can. Note that I am not speaking on behalf of the site, the NSFW staff or Doublezero. What I type here is my informed opinion and some observations. As to the 'why?' of NSFW; Doublezero wanted his own forum. I am not aware of any disagreements he has with Lover's Lab, nor do I care. NSFWmods being a clone of Lover's Lab; nothing could be farther from the truth. To go one step more, NSFW is not like NexusMods either. The key differences are the rules, how they will be enforced, and the NSFW dynamic as a whole. When I started crafting the rules there were considerations other sites don't account for; primarily that they are on the internet. From my observations most gaming sites have one critical flaw, and that is the staff and how they interact with the membership. NexusMods has 'Our interpretation of the rules, not yours.' Lover's Lab has their 'No drama' rule. Notice that NSFWmods doesn't have that type of 'Because we said so' rule. Here, the rules are the rules and everyone with the exception of Doublezero is bound by them when they register. The NSFW staff will not intervene on a member's behalf and staff favoritism will not be tolerated. There will not be 'thread clean ups' to protect one member, posts will not be deleted to hide what happens on the open forums, and so on. The double standards of conduct found on sites like NexusMods and Lover's Lab won't happen here. Everyone is held to the same level of accountability and there aren't two sets of rules. The NSFW staff will not be using personal bias or ideological beliefs as measures for the rules. Unlike NexusMods or Lover's Lab the NSFW staff won't be correcting people based on personal preferences. NSFWmods is a U.S. site and the 1st Amendment does apply here. We might not agree with what someone says, but they are allowed to say it provided it doesn't break the rules or violate the law. The NSFW staff will not be protecting SJWs or advocating political correctness. PC thinking and SJW activism were the reasons NexusMod turned into the intolerant mess it is in 2011 and Lover's Lab is now on that path as well. That's not going to happen here. SJWs will not be coddled like they are elsewhere. The last thing we want to see is NSFWmods becoming an extension of social media and the mentality that brings. The PC thought police are going to have a rough time here. Something else that won't come into play is the 'Nexus Nanny State' staff mentality. Members are on their own here. It isn't the NSFW staff's job to police every member and make sure they behave. Trolling, hate, being a dick, ad hominem attacks and generally being a douche isn't against the rules. The only place that sort of conduct is not allowed is in mod upload threads and the associated support topics; can't troll the modders on their own pages. Everywhere else is fair game. This is a departure from the NexusMods site model so many game sites now use. That is intentional. Instead of looking to game sites look at YouTube, the Chans, Reddit, SmithMicro, Renderosity, etc. and how they handle things. They treat their members like adults and we're doing the same thing. "They're saying things I don't like and they're being mean to me!" "Yeah. Welcome to the internet." As for site draw and getting people to come here, NFSW doesn't have a niche. That might come, but for now the site is focused on mods, modding support and exclusive content. Something this site has that others might not is staff scruples. There won't be any 'because we said so' staff wankery people have to endure on other sites. There will be exceptions in extreme circumstances but evoking staff privilege 'just because' won't be part of the moderation tool kit, much less the only tool we know how to use. I hope this answers some of your questions.
  18. That's really hot. The lighting, the skin tone variations, her expression.
  19. Irrelevant. You swing for the fences not matter what you turn your hand at. ritualclarity is the same way. He can't mod his way out of a wet paper grocery bag but he has know-how and knowledgeable presence. Modding is one part of a whole. I can mod and make my own content; good luck getting me to trouble shoot conflicts though. Being able to mod isn't the only aspect of using mods.
  20. Lovely girl.
  21. Good to see familiar faces here.
