  1. Reinstalling STEAM will clear all of the old dlls and install new ones. I had to do that after the 'paid mods' update STEAM did back in 2015. Skyrim refused to load because the update didn't agree with the mods I had installed and my old game registry. NOTE! I would check for other options before doing this. Use it as a last resort.
  2. Tried reinstalling STEAM?
  3. Have you tried running SaveGame Cleaner to remove the orphaned scripts that are no longer being used?
  4. Broke out the old PaintBook and tinkered with some new eye colors for humans. Nothing really great, just different. I haven't tested them in an exterior cell yet so Skyrim day light might not be very kind. Here's some more 'natural' eye colors. And here's some 'supernatural' ones for vampires, demons, anime waifu goth lolis, etc.

    'Jynx' Dunmer Face

New dark elf face shape with revised and updated makeup tint masks, plus new colors. To me she looks like the elves from the old Legend game.

I'm using the Creation Kit and making the sets like the vanilla game ones are. Doing that changes the vanilla races to the point where there are serious load order issues with mods that add hairs and eyes. And I doubt people will like my game-friendly 256x256 high detail tint masks. They aren't Nexus 4096x4096 fake hi-rez enough. No idea what I'm going to do with the stuff when I'm done. *shrugs*
  7. Just look at the vanilla game armors for color scheme ideas for the Speculars. The ebony armor has a good starting point for black, elven for green/yellow, orcish for red/pink, etc. Moving the RGB values up and down will vary them a lot. It is mostly trial and error. I'll help you if you want...when the time comes.
  8. Tinkering with the Specular Color under the BSLightingShaderProperty heading gives good results if you want a realistic finish.

Been playing with skin tones, tint mask shapes, makeup colors palettes, etc. Nothing really new though.
  10. I taught myself the basics of Blender in a weekend. All it takes is determination.
  11. British politician ARRESTED for reading Winston Churchill out loud. No, not making this up. Link to archived The Telegraph article. Great Britain used to be 'great'. Now, not so much. Enjoy your thought police and terrorists. Hopefully when the next war they get themselves into threatens to demolish their shit stain of a country. the U.S. will let it happen.
  12. That's one of the big problems with the fuck-tard Bethesda modding scene now. 'I know how to do something you can't and NO I will not share my knowledge.'
  13. My way is too hard. That's why no one does it anymore.
  14. Well, Sims 4 is coming to consoles. I have NO IDEA wtf EA thinks they're doing. If people hated the broken game mechanics and SJW stupidity in MEA then what makes the bean counters at EA think Sims 4 will do well? Sims 4 is UNPLAYABLE without mods to disable/patch the features that are shipped with the game. EA already got hammered behind MEA, so now they are lining up for another bashing with Sims 4 on consoles. I can't wait to see the reactions of people when they see the transgender fashion train wrecks Sims 4 generates by default. If people were pissed off about ugly characters and SJW pandering before they'll be fucking apoplectic when they get a dose of the Maxis/EA take on things. The reason I'm mentioning Sims 4 is that EA is going to pull another PR nightmare out of their collective asses. But maybe this is a good thing. MAYBE the money men at EA will put a lid in the SJW activism in their company and start making games instead of virtue signaling agenda-driven tripe.
  15. The best tutorials were on TESAliance at one time. No idea if they are still there. Just be aware there is a steep learning curve for modding Skyrim meshes. If you have Oblvion or FO3/NewVegas I would start there and then move to Skyrim after you have the necessary skill sets.
  16. Neither FO4 or Skyrim are optimized for 4k textures, especially on creatures/npcs. Give every npc in a cell 4k clothing and skin textures and be prepared for crash on load or bad stutters. At least with FO4 there aren't texture swaps between races like there are in Skyrim.
  17. I HATE the 'same face syndrome' people get stuck on sometimes. Really trying to avoid that while making interesting-looking faces that have individual character. The face for a 'knight in shining armor' wouldn't be the face of a necromancer who's a real son-of-a-bitch.
  18. Happy to see the forum being updated regularly. I HATE visiting forums where they haven't updated in years. The new home page layout was confusing at first since there wasn't the usual scrolling panel for recent mods. Maybe you can bring that back later?
  19. My XPS rig is maxed out. I can run TW3 and FO4 without issue but I really need a new rig, even with the after market updated hardware I added myself.
  20. Saw that earlier today. If CP2077 has cover-based shooter elements the destructible environment thing will be a really cool feature. Physics for clutter and world items will be awesome too; newspapers blowing down the street, etc. TW3 already has stuff like that so there's no reason it won't be in CP2077. Now I just need a RL reason to justify buying a new PC so I can play it!
  21. Nothing 'wrong' with the mini-games, but consider that those game features received attention while key factors in the rest of the game were ignored. The man hours and budget spent on those mini-games could ave been used for something like better quests.
  22. Bethesda uses their lazy radiant quests as content filler. What's more important; pointless reoccurring quests and mini-games you can play on your pipboy, or meaningful quests with scope and actual consequences? Meh...fill the game with bullshit since modders will make the game better anyway. That's the Bethesda axiom.
