I feel the same way. The NV community at Nexus put a sour taste in my mouth. Skyrim made it more bitter at first but getting away from the hubbub of big sites renewed my faith (somewhat) in modding Bethesda stuff. FO4 just pissed me off on every level imaginable; the game itself, the fanboy community, Bethesda attitude, everything. Skyrim 'Special Edition'...yeah..whatever. My modded 32bit game looks better than vanilla 64bitSkyrim. It has nothing to offer me so there isn't a reason to mod it. I've done a few things for Sims4 but 3d modelling is just as much a pain in the ass as Skyrim is. I've turned my attention back to DAZ work on Renderosity and SmithMicro. At least I get paid to do that. And by the way Bethesda has been acting recently I have no desire to buy anything they make, and I'm certainly not going to do a hardware upgrade that I don't need just to play a buggy Bethesda release. I have a new XBoxOne S with 1 terabyte and a brand new 24" 4K HD television. That is my new 'gaming rig', and that's how done I am with Bethesda. I don't care one way or another if people mod FO4 or 64bit Skyrim. I'm not going to nor will I allow anything I've ever made to be used for those games.

(NEW) Todd Howard Interview about FO4 on glixel.com : an OP-ED

The 'Mods will fix it' attitude in the community is what's stopping them. Why would they spend Bethesda resources on something that a modder will do for free? -
Bethesda Pulls the Plug on Pre-release Game Reviews: an OP-ED
Kendo 2 replied to Kendo 2's topic in Gaming Discussions
It being okay for Bethesda to release bugged games is now the default excuse of fanboys. 'It's a Bethesda game. What did you expect?' Well, I expect to get what I pay for, and that's a game that functions as intended at release. I also expect it to have the WHOLE GAME and not rely on DLCs to finish it. Bethesda is going down a path of breadcrumbs, sucking them up as they go. If they go far enough down that path they won't be able to find their way back. I think that has already happened as far as game reviewers go. One major major consensus on Youtube is reviewers now saying 'Don't buy Bethesda games at pre-release. Wait and see what they're offering.'- 20 replies

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an upcoming a historical-based single-player role-playing game with branching quest lines and a highly interactive world encouraging emergent game play. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is being developed by the Czech company Warhorse Studios and will co-published by Deep Silver. The game is a large open world reminiscent of the medieval atmosphere of The Witcher 3. One feature is there aren't character classes or defined paths. You can play as a warrior, a bard, a thief, etc. or any combination of skill sets. Fully interactive alchemy and crafting are also key features, along with realistic individual and mass combat. Supported platforms will be PC, PlayStation4 and XBoxOne. You can read more on the wikipedia page here or click the link for Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Youtuber CultOfMush has a 15 minute video of some alpha game play.

Well, unlike some other sites NSFW is modern. I'm all for staying ahead of the curve so there's reason not to update, if the new version is stable. Having an integrated age gate would be nice, along with the new moderation tools. The 'social media' aspects of the new version don't really interest me personally, but having better link embedding would be cool.

Gameplay footage of the KickStarter demo release. WARNING: It's graphic and fucking intense.

SJWs don't control everything. Witcher3 was under the WarnerBros banner and it got released unedited. My one concern with the game is it's motif. The player needs to be able to beat the stacked odds and 'win' by either escaping or changing events for the better. If it fails in that aspect like the Mass Effect Trilogy did (everything you've done amounts to shit in the end) then Agony will fail. The only way to avoid that is to make it clear from the start that the player can't 'win'. And that will keep a lot of players away.

“Agony is a first-person survival horror game currently in development. Players will begin their journey as tormented soul within the depths of hell without any memories about his past.” Agony is being developed by Madmind Studio. Madmind is a recent development team created in 2016. Among their ranks includes devs for The Division, Witcher 3, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, Alien Rage, Enemy Front, Real Boxing 2, Godfire: Rise of the Prometheus and other titles. Atmospherically Agony is part Gigeresque, part Dante’s Inferno, part Cthulhu Mythos, part Hellraiser, along with a sprinkling of Federico Fellini surrealism. Agony uses the Unreal 4 engine, which promises a modern and visually enjoyable gaming experience in today's market. Agony is still in development with a release date projected for sometime in 2017. Supported platforms will be PS4, Xbox One and PC. Current distribution includes STEAM. Youtuber RabidRetrospectGames has created a compilation of cinematic Agony trailers.

EA Instates New Disclosure Policies for Game Reviewers
Kendo 2 replied to Kendo 2's topic in Gaming Discussions
It appears to me that EA is attempting transparency as far as game reviews go. So if a streamer or Youtuber got a free copy of the game or other goodies (like cash) they'd have to disclose that fact when they posted their review. Honestly I think this is a corporate response to what happened with GamerGate and the recent attitudes of some developers. -
This forum section is dedicated to gaming news. PC games and Console Games are the primary focus. The submission criteria is straightforward: It is a real news story. Links to the original article(s) are required. No opinions or bias in the story's main post. Submissions should be tagged as News in the tags bar for ease of searches, along with other pertinent tags (Game Name, Publisher, etc.) NSFW staff are authorized to edit story content and title. Consider us the 'Editor's Desk'. This insures story integrity. Off topic posts and submissions that do not meet the criteria will be deleted. The Gaming News section's objective is to create a reputable news pool from a variety of reliable sources. Hyperbole, fecklessness and pusillanimous wankery are not at the core values of NSFW. Unfiltered and unapologetic truth always prevails.

They have a whole series for several games including Skyrim, Fallout 4, Silent Hill, etc. It's game-geek cool to watch them work.

Bethesda Pulls the Plug on Pre-release Game Reviews: an OP-ED
Kendo 2 replied to Kendo 2's topic in Gaming Discussions
In my unpopular opinion Bethesda has lost the ever-narrowing edge they had in the gaming market and they're aware of it. I think The Game Awards in 2015 not being a Bethesda coronation like it always was in the past hit them pretty hard. Witcher3 beating FO4 had to sting, and Bethesda obviously doesn't have a candidate for Dec 2016. The less-than stellar reception of FO4 was probably unexpected. What Bethesda has been getting away with since 2006 simply won't fly today. Euclideon software, photo-realistic graphics, modern game engines (CryEngine, Unreal4, EA’s Frostbite, CDProjekt’s RedEngine, Source, Unity, etc.)...there's no way that Bethesda can compete with any of that on consoles. Like it or not consoles is where the high-end market has been heading since xBox and PS3. I just bought an XBox1 and an new 28" LED 4k TV and they'll be delivered this Wednesday. Mass Effect Andromeda and Cyberpunk 2077 are calling my name and I want to play that shit in style. Note I'm NOT dropping almost $800 to play a Bethesda release. They don't don't even rate an honorable mention.- 20 replies
