The Oblivion Remaster Thread
ritualclarity replied to Doublezero's topic in Oblivion General Discussion
Talking about mouths and faces... How about At first glance, the new "remastered' version looks quite good. However, It might be me, but the OG version looks pretty spectacular. With added mods and upgrades for looks, It can be quite satisfying as far as I am concerned. I am honestly concerned about the Unreal Engine tacked on the Gamebro system. Gambro was fragile as it was. That combined with the refusal to support mods in any way makes me very concerned. Perhaps they seriously thought mods would overwork the system? This is considering how much they love their mod stores, after all. Added review for essentially free and they are giving that up. -

What else did they "forget". Quality control was lax IMO. Let's see how long before they patch that. If it is fast, then they are doing a good job. It shouldn't be hard to fix if it was forgoten. -
If they were providing quality reporting, they wouldn't have a problem getting a job. They wouldn't need to worry, They could group up and create their own reporting themselves (even with a non compete since they were terminated). People with skills in demand will always have a job. Will always land on their feet. They were never really in demand, and definitely not now. The only demand they might have had was with Sweet Baby inc or the like. Not the public. Likely DOGE removed their paycheck and now these companies are failing and failing bad. It is amazing that some good is already coming out in movies and games. Even if they are still shit. They aren't as shitty as they have been. (not looking at you, Snow White. ) Sure some of the turds were backed up for quite a bit waiting to come out (like Show turd). Hopefully this trend continues. They can have a good job if they can stop drinking the Kool-Aid and actually report without the SJW or whatever other bullshit agenda they have. REAL reporting. This will likely never happen, as they have been lobotomized and can't imagine that THEY are wrong. That NOBODY wants to listen to their crap. Entertainment should be ENTERTAINMENT FIRST. Everybody hates diversity. NOPE. They hate FORCED DIVERSITY without any meaning or purpose. An example is from as far back as 2005 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Feet_Under_(TV_series) Critically acclaimed series. Covering all the key bases that many of the SJW would love to see on the screen. They were critically acclaimed because they created ENTERTAINMENT. Every character and what they did had PURPOSE and MEANING. There are many other examples where such things have been included, and the consumers LOVED IT. Their agenda failed because it was MEANINGLESS drivel. Forced bullshit where it wasn't needed to cover checkboxes. Talentless individuals (like those that were recently fired from Polygon) who couldn't or just wouldn't create entertaining and engaging content. I don't want or wish anyone to be jobless. It sucks. It really does. However, in this case, they are in desperate need to change careers, or at a minimum wake the fuck up and realize that what they were doing isn't marketable. They need to make major changes and really bring real changes in their work, or continue to be jobless. Crying and petitioning people to support them for the crap they create isn't going to work. Think of it this way. A murder claiming that he was defending himself is getting hundreds of thousands of dollars, and they got fired and nobody wants to hire them. How far off the mark can you be before you understand what is going on? Well thank you and not, it is time to get off my soap box. LOL, Have a great day!

Game Story Setting
ritualclarity replied to Doublezero's topic in OpenTales: An open source RPG built using the OpenMW engine
you can use a "stargate" like structure. It can have an opening to the space you want and your NPCs and player can just walk through. If your game has that level of technology. Or you could go the way of something created by a previous race that nobody really understands. You could use some of the tricks that Fallout did with Zeta. The scene where you start to be abducted. Those should be easier to do. As far as my limited understanding takes me. lol. Just depends on your story. -
the sad things is they think they were doing a great job.

Oh hell yea it is better than Starfield. This was when Bethesda had skilled people that both wanted to create good games and was allowed to make good games. Not the whatever it is now. I"ve been over Bethesda games since Fallout 4. The game was still good enough to be satisfied with it (after they decided to roll out modding support) but nothing really after that. IN fact very few games after that were decent for me to even consider paying full price for it. Funny most channeled the games of 20 or more years ago. -
sims 4 Alonely Cats & Dogs, Cottage Living, and Horse Ranch Animations [2025-04-30]
ritualclarity commented on Alonely's file in Adult
You don't need to worry about him anymore. At least not on this site. @Alonely you have done nothing wrong here or on your Discord. I went to your Discord and caught the tail end of this person's actions. He was a problem on this site and another Discord as well. Calling a moderator a cunt is one thing but bringing external conflicts and attacking the mod author on their thread is quite a different matter.- 20 comments

Is it me or does these elves look like they had a botched eye lift? -
Wow that was an old post! lol. I have a gaming computer now. Let me know how it goes. I might install it as well. I like the fact that it works on Linux as well. If there are some sources on how to set it up also let me know.

Apparently there is a new game in town that is getting great reviews. Thoughts?

My employer has one of those subscriptions for commercial 365. You know, the one where they roll it out to all the people in their organization that needs this. Well, apparently I and several others are being prompted to pay for a 365 as ours is no longer valid. They give a doom date and pop that motherfucker up near full screen at least 2-3 times a day. With constant bar present telling us that our subscription no longer is valid and we need to pay for another one to continue the service. Our Help Desk has no clue why it is happening to people. At least none that they will tell the employees that are being hit with this. They confirm that we are on the list (still) and our subscriptions are still valid. That is about all they can do. Just another crappy thing Microsoft is doing to their customers. It is either crappy or incompetent. Which ever you want to think it is. In both cases, totally unnecessary and uncalled-for. I leave work and come home to my Linux machines with some free office option and a little minor notification from time to time telling me I have some updates available and get right to whatever I want to do without any bullshit. Continue doing what I want until I decide to update. The free office products are about as good as Microsoft Office, and when you consider the cost and not having to deal with Microsoft bullshit... WAY more valuable. I am so glad I pushed myself to use Linux more and more and even more glad when I decided I was going to use it 100% for day to day stuff (minus games). Wish I started this sooner. Next step is getting a decent computer and passing through a graphics card and whatever else I need and virtualizing Windows so that I can treat it like the bitch it is. With zero worries (snapshot) knowing I can roll back whatever bullshit update they send or the like.

As I understand it the script extender isn't up to the task yet to even port Lovers over. Much less if someone would. The more I see what is happening. The more I think why? You can add your own graphic upgrade. There are only a few game play changes. Pretty much the same as the old game. Pay >50 dollars for a reskin of a game? Just stick to the OG version and wait until this version is <10 dollars on sale. If that. By that time any mods that would be created would likely have been created. -

If you have Xbox you can get it through game pass (included) Not moddable but playable. However it does mean you would have to pay for at least one month's worth. Fortunately you can cancel anytime -

A Russian modder pointed me to some of the Russian sites. They got some shit! lol Of course I download it in LInux and scan the living fuck out of it. (however, I do the same for Nexus. ) Funny story. Only mod site I ever had any flags or issues with regarding any virus notifications or warrings etc. Guess which one? If you guessed Nexus, you'd be right. You'd think when I point exactly where the source is they would do something about it. Well. you would guess wrong. I pointed and gave them the exact ad that was causing this issue and they stated they don't have anything to do with the ads. I kid you not. So they don't have a choice in having ads? They can't change the ads? They can't t ell the ad company to not use that or report they have a hacked ad? For Nexus, this is the case. Their hands were tied. -
It may be trying to check its status and phoning home. However, congrats.

How do these bottles interact? Aren't they virtual machines or are they more sandboxed apps. Sorry, having a time wrapping my mind around these. I remember you mentioning these a bit ago but never followed up. Watched a few videos and looked at some of the information. Sounds cool none the less

Unix not only Linux allows a name to have the "same" name provided that you have different characters in it. For example Doublezero DoubleZero dOublezEro Are all the same "name" but Linux sees it as different and will treat it as a different folder name. Everything installed in one Bottle? Or different bottles.

I had a time figuring out which game they were referring to. I know they have to be using a unmodding game as a comparision. There are very likey many textures that you can use to improve the looks. With the game play being essentially the same, I can't even see any reason to get the game. Hell, even play it on Xbox if I had a game pass option. Who cares They choose easy so they get easy. This is so easy they can't do anything! Hogwarts does the same. Mods are able to be done on the PC but not on Xbox. They just don't want to deal with that issue. Glorious? I don't really see it. That combined with the changes referencing Skyrim (the dragon on exiting the sewer). I momentarily got excited with the possibility of modding the game. Wait until it is on a massive sale, get it. However, I don't see it even on a major sale. Even the 30 dollar option that the host mentioned is too high in my opinion. Bethesda isn't even going to support modding. The key reason it is so praised (original Oblivion) The reason it last so long. The reason so many got excited about this release. Even with this, it is doing excellently. Imagine how it would be if they opened .. hell, even their fucking storefront for curated mods. -
So the manager and script extenders worked? Or did you have to do something special
