endgameaddiction Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Clean house, trim the fat. I don't know if that will solve the issues. 1 Quote
endgameaddiction Posted Monday at 10:01 AM Posted Monday at 10:01 AM I know Tim Cain is woke. I'm pretty sure Feargus is as well. Not sure about Josh Sawyer. Quote

Where I work, they fired some people that were popular and it shut down the entire place for weeks. During a time when there was a heavy need for people to get the work done, nothing. I wonder with this "Celebration & Service" memorial if this isn't the same situation. The mention that they will march regarding the layoffs. So instead of focusing on the task at hand, they rather focus on other stuff. @Doublezero has it right. More needed to be laid off. I hate to wish something like that but it is possible that a contamination has gone that deep. From what I can tell from other articles it sounds like they were MASSIVELY overstaffed. This staffing was seriously inefficient. Too many bosses. To many steps and too many people making decisions and having to be checked in with to do a basic task. That isn't good for the company or the employees. IMO at least. 1 Quote

RitualClarity Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Personally, I view the remasters like warmed over dog . I believe if they "remaster" these games they need to truly go in and rebuild the game from the gound up. Update the graphics. Update the engine to the newest one used for the Elder Scrolls 6 or Starfield whatever. Update the tools. When remastering, they need to go back to the roots of the game. Restore cut content now that computers can run the assets. For example FNV split up New Vegas city. They can open it up, restore missing or cut side quest etc. Flesh it out a bit. That would be a remaster worth talking about. Not slapping some graphic over the top and calling it a day like they did for Oblivion. Hell, they even told the community not to mod it. Talk about stupid. Nobody is talking about the remasterd Oblivon anymore. Quote

Doublezero Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago More than 60 senior QA testers let go. Well, it's not like Bethesda listened to their QA testers anyway. Hell, with all the bugs in their games, I'm surprised they had any. Quote
Doublezero Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago Oh, now they care about the fans? I thought they hated the fans. Now that these woke, purple-haired, activist developers are facing layoffs, they want the fans to back them up. They won't get that from me. Quote
Doublezero Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Todd said modders made 10 million through Creation Club, ChatGPT says modders make 37.5% of the profits, so Bethesda roughly made 27 million with Creations. Assuming my math is correct, this whole thing is a big failure. We don't know how much they make daily. The majority of the money could have been made when Starfield was released, for all we know.
