Using non-destructive modeling (or an “envelope” as I call if for the stuff I do) you can create any shape imaginable with a fraction of the vertices, this means changes can be done extremely easy and fast and you have total control over the polycount.
I “learned” about it watching Cédric Lepiller’s videos, I said “learned” because Cédric is a industrial design professional that uses a specialized set of add-ons he developed himself. But watching his videos gave me a good idea how to use Blender’s modifiers and even without his add-ons the fundamentals are the same, the rest was just practicing and experimenting.

With the help of this tutorial that explains the basics and this small but very important piece of information (first post, the one about ‘black hair’) I finally converted my first hair one of the oldest entries on my to-do list.
Also Blender’s proportional editing is a time-saver for this kind of project (tip: if reducing the ‘sphere of influence’ is too slow using the mouse wheel use the keys PageUp / PageDown on your keyboard).

Semi-annual friendly reminders:
Everything under my name is free. I don’t accept donations, subscriptions or payments of any kind. If you ever give a single cent for some of my stuff you got robbed.
I only “exist” in two places: Loverslab and NSFWmods. I don’t have a blog, social network, server, etc. You want to talk to me, go to the aforementioned places, nowhere else.
And finally, I was doing CC for S4 but not anymore. For the time being my efforts are concentrated on Sims 3 (who knows maybe Sims 5 will be good enough to make the jump )
