This is just an FYI to let the few people following this know that the project is on hold at the moment. I've hit a writer's block and the story progression wasn't going as I intended. Basically what I was writing was devolving into the realm of 'pointless and stupid' like so many Sexlab/LL mods tend to go. There's no way I'm going to release something like that so it's best just to stop and clear my head.

After the SWBF 2015 community strife over paid DLC campaign maps and the 2017 kerfuffle of Mass Effect Andromeda, it seems EA still hasn't learned any lessons. In a nutshell, EA is doing away with DLCs and implementing more 'pay to win' in-game microtransactions. Gamespot has an article posted detailing what is going on. LINK to the article

Emma SJWatson in the role of Ciri was pulled from a Forbes article about who THEY want to see cast, not who's really being cast. The timeline of the series' story hasn't been revealed yet. Ciri might be around 10 yrs old, like she how she was portrayed in the first book. Nobody knows. I've done some searching and aside from the series being in early pre-production there isn't any info on the story arcs, the cast or anything else. Also some of the directors from Witcher3 cinematic trailers WILL be directing episodes of the Netflix series. The author of the Witcher books has been retained as a creative consultant, and that's all. I'm certain the producers of the series understand that the GAMES are what brought attention to the books; not the other way around. I'll also assume the target audience is players of the game since they far outnumber fans of the source literature.

So the ' game website' Polygon makes a habit of sucking Anita Sarkeesian's dick. Here's the latest installment of their cock-worshipping... https://www.polygon.com/features/2017/6/27/15880582/anita-sarkeesian-garbage-human-vidcon-interview They've been doing this since gamergate circa 2015 so it's nothing new, but it is yet another reason to shitlord troll them every chance you get.

Unfortunately something like this will never happen in the Bethesda 'community'. Bethesda Game Studios sides with users and modders against a Bethesda Softworks money-hungry power grab. Yeah, cool story bro.

bethesda Bethesda announces "Creation Club" (Paid Mods)
Kendo 2 replied to Doublezero's topic in Gaming Discussions
Cruised around the internet just to see what people are saying about this. Aside from the typical autistic screeching and down-voting Youtube videos, ain't much happening. There's not a cohesive front on 4chan or Reddit to where people are raiding Bethesda sites to get their voices heard. It's just pockets of forum crybabies and fanboys tearing at one another. The true hilarity is being posted by modders who think they are going to cash-in on the Creation Club. I can tell just by the naive nature of their posts (and who they actually are in some cases) that they have no fucking clue how corporations deal with private individuals. Some of these dumbasses actually think modding is a job they can profit off of. Not making that up. I would link posts but the morons and their ignorant bullshit need to stay where they are. I don't want NSFWMods getting contaminated. But I will point out CynicalBrit/TotalBiscut and him being full of shit about what is 'paid modding' and what it isn't. That dude has no fucking idea what he's talking about and he just shills for Bethesda. How that guys has over 2 million Youtube subs is a fucking mystery. He gave Bioware a free pass for ME Andromeda and now he's a paid mod Bethesda collaborator. Sad, but MxR and MattyPlays did the same thing when it comes to this 'Creation Club' heist. "Best idea evuh!" Retards. This Creation Club thing won't be about shit until the next game comes out anyway. No one cares about Skyrim SE or FO4 enough for Bethesda's move to have any impact. It will hit home when Starfield is released and the Creation Club is already in place. There won't be a cycle of free mods Bethesda tries to intercept and capitalize on. They will be there at the starting gate with their Creation Club, restrictive EULAs and total control over the Starfield modding scene. It's theirs for the taking and anyone who thinks Bethesda won't do that is a fool. -
OH.MY.GOD. The Southern Poverty Law Center 'explains' Kek, Kekistan and memes. No, I am not making this up. LMFAO. https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2017/05/08/what-kek-explaining-alt-right-deity-behind-their-meme-magic

Goddamnit! Pretty sure someone on 4chan or Reddit made this video since I can't find it on MSNBC's website...but it' still hilarious.

bethesda Bethesda announces "Creation Club" (Paid Mods)
Kendo 2 replied to Doublezero's topic in Gaming Discussions
I don't about other states but in Texas any contract that hinders or limits the contractor is null and void. Companies can't claim ownership of side projects, force non-compete clauses or otherwise infringe on free will. IF a modder decides to jump on the Creation Kit 'gravy train' they had better research commercial law code in their home state; but of course the new breed of modders around now think they're smarter than everyone else...that and they're Bethesda fanboys. Their arrogance and stupidity knows no bounds and people like that are primed to get fucked since that what corporations do to the little guys. And Bethesda doesn't need a contract paragraph to stake claim on anything modders make; the software license for the games themselves already have that stipulation. The only difference between free-range modding and dealing with the Creation Club is modders are intentionally giving their derivative work to the real owner; Bethesda. I know a lot of Bethesda players just can't wrap their heads around that, but the facts are the facts. If someone mods FO4 or Skyrim SE they don't own what they've made since the licenses for those games specifically address derivative content, where as the licenses for previous games didn't. Why the new clause? Bethesda.net as a platform for facilitating paid modding is why. -
I want the list of developers and publishers who cave into these social media terrorists. That way I'll be sure to never buy anything the put out. IF a corporation is dumb enough to listen to these femnazi/sjw retards then they'll face the same fate as Bioware and ME Andromeda, because anyone who's worth a fuck will have left the company. I mean, no one will really trust EA/Bioware again. Social agendas and fake diversity doesn't sell products; Marvel comics, the Star Wars reboots, an all-girl Ghostbusters, ME Andromeda. The core fan bases get alienated and the SJWs move on to their next victim. If companies aren't hip to that then they need to fail.

The best way to deal with bad ideas is to shine a spotlight on them, and a healthy dose of public ridicule doesn't hurt either. The key is keeping control of the dialogue out of the hands of the glorified simians who operate off of feelings rather than the truth. AS for ANYTHING Bethesda releases in the future, they shouldn't have burned me with FO4 because they're 100% off of my 'can't live without it' game radar. I can't say as to whether I'll buy/play Starfield or not. It all depends on the game and what I see on twitch or youtube after release. By doing that I dodged the ME Andromeda $60 bullet aimed at my wallet. I feel good about that so Bethesda gets the same treatment. Let them make a shitty game. I don't care. Let Todd Howard lie through his teeth, let them control Starfield modding. None of that shit will affect me IF I don't buy the game until they release a Creation Kit for it and I'm aware of what's going on. For all I know the game might be a FO4-not-worth-modding shit show with no replay value. -
Doing what cunts do best, feminists and SWJs want a 'game developer black list'.

RANT I think T2 did this because they've sold all of the game units they think they need to sell and mods are doing what mods do; giving the game longevity. If people are stuck on a modded GTA5 single player experience they have no reason to bother with the online version OR buy micro-transactions. T2 wants more money and they think killing GTA5 modding will make that happen. Anyone with common sense knows it won't since gamers are a fickle bunch and we'll turn on a developer/publisher like a pack of rabid hyenas if they fuck with our games...or if they hype and then deliver a shit product. AC Unity, Valve Paid Modding, FO4 and ME Andromeda are prime examples gamers not taking the assfucking corporations think we should. Mark my words, Bethesda's 'Starfield' won't be the old modding experience. If T2 gets away with this modding prohibition it will set an industry precedent. And if the Bethesda Creation Club thing doesn't die on the vine they will make a move to control or limit Starfield modding.

For those of you who care about such things, here is the Court's full opinion. Skip down to about page 32 for the judgements of Justices Alito and Kennedy. One aspect of this case that hasn't hit the media yet (if it ever does) is the connection between Federal funding for colleges and universities and those institutions inhibiting or in some case prohibiting Constitutionally protected free speech. The government could stop federal subsidies for institutions that are not in compliance or withhold student grants and loans associated with those institutions. Basically 'You can stop free speech but we're not giving you any money if you do, and we won't give kids grant money if they go to your school.'

In an AP wire report, a Supreme Court ruling on Monday 20.06.2017 reaffirms that 'offensive speech' is Constitutionally protected free speech. The unanimous 8-0 ruling is a major victory for those with dissenting opinions. Basically the ruling boils down to 'you might not like what I have to say but I have the right to say it' AND the U.S. Government doesn't have 'speech' as defined by the Constitution. Not only will this affect trademarks as in the context of the case, but the ruling can also be applied to state and local governments trying to enact 'no hate speech' or 'anti-cyber bullying' legislation. bethesda Bethesda announces "Creation Club" (Paid Mods)
Kendo 2 replied to Doublezero's topic in Gaming Discussions
The recent scuttlebutt I heard is that Pete Hines overplayed Bethesda's involvement in the Creation Club process. Modders aren't getting developer input or assistance. Basically you create a mod and submit it and Bethesda either approves it or they don't. That's the process in totality. So realistically it is paid modding with official vetting and Bethesda claiming rights over anything submitted. SO, if a Creation Club member makes a mod a Bethesda rejects it, can the modder still upload it as a free mod or does Bethesda bin it and it's gone forever? And what happens to the modder if they upload their own version anyway? I'd love to get a look at the e-contract Bethesda asks club members to agree to. It probably has a many holes in it as a CNN Russian conspiracy theory. -

Well, unlike a Bethesda product Witcher3 doesn't 'need' mods. Aside from the Console Command mod and the CDRed officially sanctioned ENB I didn't have any mods for it. The game looked great and played as intended on its own. IF I could add quests and NPCs to Witcher3 like I can a Bethesda game I'd uninstall Skyrim and never look back. Back on topic; I don't think Bethesda understands the ramifications of what happened at E3 2017. Before the show they were 'okay'. A few days after the show people are tired of their bullshit. Bethesda is milking Skyrim and FO4 and their fans (former or otherwise) are hip to what's going on and they DO NOT like it. I think a real hit will happen when people outside of NSFWMods have the same Epiphany we had; Bethesda is moving to micro-transactions and the nickle-and-dime scams of Activision, Ubisoft, EA and Konami. If 100 Bethesda-buck 'credits' cost $1.00 US that means a fucking gun retexure any asshole can make and upload to Nexus costs 2 bucks. So how long will Bethesda allow sites like Nexus to bite into their nickle-and-dime profits? And when Starfield is released will there even be a free Creation Kit for it? They have already stopped work on the Skyrim Special Edition CK and frameworks like SKSE do not work with the 64bit version of the game. They haven't updated the FO4 CK either. Conspiracy Theory Time! What Bethesda is doing (or not doing) is by design. At inception, Bethesda.net was intended as a storefront for something like the Creation Club. Skyrim Special Edition has the same EULA as FO4; they state Bethesda owns anything made with or that contains their IP. The Skyrim 32bit license doesn't have that stipulation. Updates for the Creation Kits for Skyrim SE and FO4 have stopped. Attila the Hun has amassed his horde at the eastern reaches of the Roman Empire...but he's not going to invade. That's how Bethesda fans are looking at this Creation Club situation. -

CDProjektRed only needs to do two things to kick Bethesda off of the 'you can mod it therefor it is a good game' throne. Cyberpunk 2077; play as a female character and they release a modding kit to where the players can actually mod the game like they can (or could) mod a Bethesda one. If ProjektRed does those two things Bethesda modding will take a critical hit.
