Doublezero Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I've begun working on my first scripted mod for Skyrim. I'm a scripting noob so I'm taking my time researching things to see if any of my ideas are feasible. None of the ideas in this post are etched in stone, they're general ideas that I and others on this forum have come up with. What I aim to do with is mod Create three demonic races. A succubus race (in progress), an incubus race and a siren race. Create a quest that has branching paths and choices that effect the game world. (Long ways off from this) The races Succubus A Succubus can seduce men and feed on the semen. They can transform into their human form but this will cause them to consume energy rapidly. I aim make this spell/ability something the player will have to reserve for when they need enter a town. Succubus can enthrall both genders and they will not react negativity when they see her in her true form. Once enthralled, a succubus will be able to walk up to an npc and feed whenever she pleases. A succubus' weakness will be wearing clothing. This will effect health, magicka and stamina regen and weaken spell strength, spell duration and weapon damage. The strength of the negative effects will be determined by the type of clothing with regular clothes being the least negative and heavy armor being the worst. While in human form, the succubus will still experience negative effects but it will not be as detrimental but will cause her to consume energy even faster. Sirens For sirens I want them to have the ability to seduce their pray with music and dance. They will have spells and abilities that can cause sexual encounters with numerous npcs. Incubus I haven't researched incubus yet so I have no idea what to do for this race yet. I welcome any ideas that you may have. Cure quests I'm not a big fan cure quests, especially the way they are handled in Bethesda games. I believe in choice and consequences. For example: If you choose to play a vampire in Skyrim for 100+ hours before getting cured I believe there should be lingering effects like an addiction to blood or some minor discomfort when being out in the sun. For the succubus race I'm aiming for something similar but I also plan to add a corruption meter. The idea with the corruption meter is that the longer you're a succubus the harder it will be to cure. If you plain on being a succubus for 100+ hours, expect to spend 25 to 50 hours getting cured. This post is still a work in progress. Feel free to share your ideas. Quote
Kendo 2 Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Sounds ambitious, and fun. Race Powers Suggestions: (Succubus/Incubus) Leveled Vampire-type Drain/Absorb Spells. At 1st level give them the Novice version, like how Bretons get Summon Familiar and Dunmer get the Sparks spell. After that when (or if) they take the entry Destruction perks for Apprentice, Adept, Expert and Master you can do an event quest to automatically add the next the spell they qualify for. The Drain/Absorb would never be a replacement for a real Destruction spell attack; but if the player was low on health zapping a live enemies would be within the Succubus mindset. Automatically give them the Charm spell, or make it a Minor Power usable once per day. For your Enthrall ability, here's the link to Disposition ranks, how they are used, etc. For skill bonuses they would definitely get bumps in Destruction, Conjuration and Illusion. They would be resistant to diseases, poison and fire, but they would also need offsetting weaknesses, like vulnerability to electrical attacks, silver weapons, etc. Not being able to use religious alters and being blocked from the Divine quests for Dibella and Mara could also be done. The Vigilants of Stendar wouldn't be too impressed with Succubi-type creatures (automatic negative disposition or attack on sight). On the other hand Necromancers and Conjurers would be very interested in Succubi. And being a Succubus/Incubus would be a free pass into the Mage's College, like being Dragonborn but without the main quest running. (Sirens) I think they would be difficult and time consuming to implement. There aren’t mechanics that allow the player to play an instrument or sing. There might be a mod somewhere that allows it though. Sirens were man-eaters, literally. They used their songs to lure ships on to rocks so they could eat sailors. Not very sexy. Water breathing, resistant to frost and poison, vulnerable to fire, etc. From a role play stand point I think Sirens would be very one-dimensional. Basically a lute-playing Argonian that looks like a hot girl. For Succubus/Incubus characters I have head meshes, assorted horns, and a few vanilla hairs converted. I use them in my own game for Dremoras. Of course, my files are set for vanilla style Dark Elf type dremora characters, not humans. I can send the files to you if you like. 1 Quote

I have an idea where Vigilants of Stendar members would escort captured succubus around Skyrim like the way the Thalmor and Imperial soldiers would parade storm cloak prisoners everywhere. After freeing the succubus she would thank you by sharing her gift. 2 hours ago, Kendo 2 said: On the other hand Necromancers and Conjurers would be very interested in Succubi. This reminds of an NPC in Morrowind that was friendly to vampires mainly because of his interest in studying them. I can't find him on uesp.net but I remember speaking to him when I played the game years ago. 2 hours ago, Kendo 2 said: For Succubus/Incubus characters I have head meshes, assorted horns, and a few vanilla hairs converted. Kendo 2 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Continues to rain on your parade. Spoiler Since NSFW isn’t LL or Nexus I’m going to be blunt. That’s an advisory and I’m not asking for forgiveness. The idea of being a succubus as some sort of ‘disease’ like vampirism is whacked. Oblivion modders started it and Skyrim modders adopted it. No matter how it’s painted it doesn’t jive with TES lore or the Medieval superstitions around what is or is not a ‘succubus’. Historically a succubus is ‘a female demon believed to have sexual intercourse with sleeping men.’ Well, that’s a convenient way for Medieval men to explain away nocturnal emissions and naughty dreams so they can still participate in Communion on Sunday. The same is true for women, but in Medieval Europe they’d only admit it when their feet were being roasted in an Inquisition trial. In other words, succubus/incubus were hysterical 15th century-era bullshit. There isn’t a lot of info on a ‘succubus’ that rings true if you dig deep and get away from gaming and pop culture. It’s like what vampires really were (or are if you think they are real) compared to what Bram Stoker and Anne Rice did to them. Bram Stoker was THE ONE who introduced coffins and a vampire being tied to them. Anne Rice dismisses Bram Stoker with ‘the rantings of a misguided Irishman’ yet she ties HER vampires directly to coffins (a Bram Stoker invention). Just like Medieval authors, modern ones don’t have their shit together. Once difference between succubi and incubus is Incubus were known to ride thier victims during the night like horses or ponies, exhausting them and causing fatigue. Nightmares, kelpies and a the Scottish ‘Black Agnis’ crone also did this. Are they all the same being? Their MO fits. To me, Succubus/Incubus is a race and there isn’t a ‘cure’. You are either a Nord or you’re not. There isn’t a quest to change it or cure it. If a player chose ‘Succubus’ then that’s what they are and they should deal with it, positive or negative. Also, no matter how innovative or ground-breaking your prospective mod is , people won't download it unless you have ubber-cute presets that will work with ECE. That means you get to make intentional patch for a mod you may or may not use. And then there are the BodySlide/OutfitStudio whiners to deal with. Quote

I always felt that way about Vampirism in Elder Scrolls games. When an NPC tells you that the only cure is a stake through the heart, I kind of like it that way. But I guess it makes more sense to have a cure for Vampirism and Lycanthropy then it would for Succubus and Incubus. I think an argument in favor for a "cure quest" is that if you start the game as a Nord and change race, the player should have the opportunity to return to being a Nord. But as you said; you are either a Nord or you're not, and being a Nord or a Succubus for that matter, isn't a disease. It's probably best not to call it a "cure quest" because there's nothing to be cured from. Any quest that allows the player to revert to their original race should be consider divine intervention. Something that can only be achieved through the help of a god and not some conjurer with a black soul gem. I'm all in favor scraping the cure quest. As I wrote in the first post, I'm not a fan cure quests. Not just because of how they are implemented but I hate the idea altogether. When I played a vampire in Skyrim I never sought the cure and I never wanted it. Quote
Kendo 2 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I don't think you should listen to me or give too much credence to my gamer ravings. Sometimes I look at popular mods and think to myself 'The mod's premise is fucking stupid.' yet it will have thousands of downloads. Evidently, I'm the one one who doesn't 'get it' most of the time. I'm sending you a PM, btw. Quote
ritualclarity Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Kendo has a point about the lore etc of the game. However lore hasn't stopped people from creating various mods that have gone to be very popular. Lore hasn't stopped sexy swimsuits or modern clothing from being introduced to the game. In the end it is a game and mods are there to change the game to something the user is going to be entertained with. Quote
Kendo 2 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I am recanting my previous stance. Being a 'succubus' should be adaptable to any playable race, just like being the Agent of Dibella or Mara. I've sent DZ an EXHAUSTIVE pm which I'm sure he hates me for, BUT it contains an idea that NO ONE has ever used for a 'succubus'. It also fits in 100% with stock TES lore. Too bad you average schmucks can't read it. Quote
Doublezero Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 I'm just about ready to start testing my scripts in game, but I'm currently being held back by a lot of work around the house. Quote
Doublezero Posted August 31, 2016 Author Posted August 31, 2016 Anyone know of any visual effects I can use for the transformation. I'm kinda stumped here. Quote
ritualclarity Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Perhaps a dark cloud covering most if not all of the body? Then just swap out the textures while the player is blocked from seeing the body. Or use one of the dadric transport effects just change the colors of the textures to be more appropriate. Quote
Nailos18 Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 The succubus race on Nexus was a neat idea. But I hated how it implemented a whole new race into the system. To me, reading old literature and folk lore, any race could be a succubus. I like what Kendo2 was hinting at. Perhaps instead of making a new " race " add in how any of the base game races could be transformed into a succubus. I would love to keep say a Dunmer look but with succubus abilities and aesthetics. As for what can be used for a transformation or what not. I like the black mist/smoke from the Immersive Creatures mod on Nexus. Has a chance of skeletons resurrecting in a cloud of black smoke. Perhaps take a look at that? Also TES lore has some Daedric mentioning of Golden Saints mating with mortals. If you take the appearance of the ones from Morrowind and the lore of them in that game and earlier ones you could give a background for the " reasoning " of how base game races can become a succubus. Guest Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) Well in Skyrim vampire aren't exactly another race. At least I don't think so. It's only another race in CK because they have created another race to signify the vampires for the transformation. And I don't think there is any other way around that if the player were to transform into a succubus, siren or incubus. If you played Fallout 3 it's very similar when you proceed through the tranquility lane and change to the vanilla child race once you are in the VR after sitting in the simulator. And upon exiting you change back to the adult vanilla race. The quest script handles the change between the form IDs with each race. And same applies to a vanilla race to werewolf and vanilla race to vampire lord and vice versa. Edited August 31, 2016 by Guest Quote
Kendo 2 Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Well, in TES lore there already is a succubus of sorts; the Mabrigash from Morrowind. Warrior witches with the power to paralyze and drain foes. They got this power from charming a man and then 'draining him of his vital essence'. This is incredibly easy to implement. I've done it for female Dunmer. Just make a copy of the upper level Vampire Drain spell and make it a starting spell with conditions to make it only available to female Dunmer. Quote
Doublezero Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 Absolutely perfect! This shows me the effect shader I want to use! Quote
Kendo 2 Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 You might have to make a copy of the one you want to use and tweak it some. Some of the stock vanilla shaders meant for creatures do not work well on playable races or other creature types. But it is easy to change the shader values and types once you have a template to work with. It is all auto fill box drop downs or different keywords. I made Ice Mage draugrs that emit the frosty 'smoke' Frost Atronachs use, but the vanilla shader had a skin covering that looked like a blue kaleidoscope effect crawling all over them. Making a copy of the the Frost Atronach shader and removing that effect worked. Quote
Doublezero Posted September 2, 2016 Author Posted September 2, 2016 I'd be one happy camper if I could find feet like these. 1 Quote

Try looking at the Lykos race for skyrim and other " feline/beast " races people have made. At least one of them probably has something close to those feet. Mabrigash Tribe from Morrowind also had random topic dialogue if you were to ask another tribe about them. If you chose rumors in the dialogue you would get random things like " What do you think they with with those they charm? " Hell a few of the females in tribe outright offer themselves if you prove your the Nerevarine. Quote

Doublezero Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 Anyone know how to use Game.SetTintMaskColor with OnPlayerLoadGame()? It never works for me. Quote
Doublezero Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 Update Successfully added armor and clothing weakness. The succubus now suffers from cumulative health damage for each piece that's equipped. Armor and clothing will also reduce her movement speed. So yeah, she's really uncomfortable in clothes. I'm still working to have the PC react negatively when equipping gear. I'm looking into adding bound armor that can only be use by a succubus. Like in Morrowind, it will have no weight but will also not cause any ill effects and will also be transparent. Quote
Doublezero Posted October 6, 2016 Author Posted October 6, 2016 Quick update: Got the male slave harness in game. Most of the scripting is 99% done so I'll be releasing a beta version soon. 2 Quote
Doublezero Posted October 12, 2016 Author Posted October 12, 2016 Update: I've been fiddling around with an MCM menu for the last few days, this is my first time doing this so bare with me. Anton gave me permission to use his dragon wings with the mod, so aside from the MCM menu, there isn't much preventing me from releasing it. Quote
