I'm waiting for the next Mass Effect 1-3, Oblvion, Witcher 3, whatever. Something impactful like that. I'm beginning to think the only way we'll get real games again is for the industry crash completely, flushing the DEI/woke shit down the toilet. Yep. The Unofficial Patch does the same thing; removing or changing content that WORKS as intended isn't 'patching', it's modding. What's fucked up is changing the scripting on some events and objects. Even if you revert his changes with an esp or by editing his esm the SCRIPTS are still fucked. It would take some investigating and file extracting to fix his 'fixes' but why should anyone have to? What he did was spiteful. There was some kind of restored content garbage he did that purposely reinstated Stormcloak dialogue to make them look like evil racists BUT he didn't restore the Imperial dialogue that made them look like power-hungry sociopaths. Again with the modding disguised as some kind of restoration.

Libshit streamers have been freaking out for months about the EA private purchase because they knew the pride-flag-tranny agenda in the Sims was going to end. They can't switch games because the majority of them spent almost a year attacking Paralives and inZOI. So what the fuck can they stream? Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing? My unnecessary and unsolicited thoughts on all of the Bethesda news and game journo/Youtuber speculations; we simply don't know how this will play out. Here's MY uninformed predictions. The Fallout3 and NewVegas remasters will be sanitized for modern audience bullshit (body type 1 and 2, things that weren't offensive to begin with being removed, etc.) Look at how innocuous Oblivion was and what they did with the remaster. Bonus points for using Unreal Engine 5 so it's a pain in the ass to mod. SOME of the devs responsible for Avowed and Outer Worlds 2 are still employed at Obsidian. That's a couple of great games right there so I can't wait to see how hard they fumble with this new Obsidian Fallout. Commie simulator with a shit story. Dam. I still have the old Halo and it is great. Watching this is so different. I haven't played much if any of the Halo releases after the original. The game was great. It had much of if not all of the needed ingrediants to be successful back then and even more so now with all the culture wars. What makes this even more sad is Baulders Gate was released more than a year ago showing that get rid of the bullshit and you will be greatly successful.

Thank you very much for your help, and don't worry about the typos. I chewed through another mod testing and found the culprit (more info in the main post). I won't go into too much detail, but it is fixed and everything is running perfectly. Thank you again, to you and everyone who has helped me with this. It was a headache, and it is good to have it fixed now.

It's amazing how much difference a bigger monitor with a refresh of 144Hz makes playing TTW again. The detail just pops off the screen now and it allows for a much smoother frame rate. I can actually see explosions and gunfire in the distance and it looks fantastic (for such an old game anyway). It's funny how so many criticized these game for not following the lore and shit. Now, we'd fucking faint if Beth made a game this good, lol.

@halflinghero I enabled the setting that allows members to change their account name. If it was enabled before, it was disabled by an update because I never touched it.

Changing your username used to be a feature. I think in a later update that might have been removed. But if you contact Doublezero, he will more than likely change your username for you. He's done it for me in the past.

That's the thing, everything I use for Skyrim already can run on Linux in some manner or another. And not only that I'm told it runs it better. Will be interesting to see. A couple Skyrim modders I know are already on Linux too. One of the reasons I started thinking about dropping even the pared down Win11 stuff. (Like Atlas OS is it? Always forgetting the name! ) The newer games I'm playing are native Linux right now. So that's not an issue in my case. I have almost zero interest in the vast majority of new western games as they are still woke slop at this point. So that's not a problem. And indies tend to be Linux native or friendly as well. Really the only holdup might be stuff like Photoshop and Maya but those run on Macs. I use Macs for work so... there goes that issue for me anyway.

They don't want windows 11 spyware. They don't need A.I locally. Most people. Those that do can use the web. Serious people in AI use Linux. Spark a new machine from Nvidia is Linux. Others are coming that are also Linux. Anything that is serious for profesionals other than some email garbage is often used thorugh Linux. (since many of the back bones are build with Linux) NPUs, TPU etc. are just excuses to make a money grab. Many are aware of this and are not going to bite. Steam OS, Bazzite and others (linux) is moving for the gaming sector with a vengance. That is what most people have to pay$$$$ for to get something good. Otherwise they can run that shit (programs) in a VM in linux and have a better experience (Looking at Snapshot and easily transfering it to different divices. TL'DR Windows cooperation is shit. Has been shit for years and just getting shitter every step they take.

Generally ther is a lot of support for Linux on the web. There are forums you can join with people with way more experience than you have and lots of documentaiton. I'd advise you to stick with Debian based systems as generally that is refered to more im my experience. Also, keep in mind that just because there is support the support might be complex and beyond your ability to do. I'd also advise to have a good back up of your Home folder (personal data) and a thumb drive ready to reinstall expecially when you first start. Or even better if you have a strong machine just use a VM. You can snapshot it easily and restore with most anything that happens beyond your control. You can also install different versions of Linux like Mint or Unbuntu or Kubuntu etc. and learn and experience it . Find what you like which destop you want (KDE, plasma etc.) for your LInux. One breaks just move to the other one. Nuke and resintall. One thing ... in general,.. installing LInux is really quick especially if you are willing to use simple commands. sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade sudo apt autoclean Debian system commands to start with. It will download everything and keep it fresh. Also, unlike Windoze, I have some updates waiting to be installed for over a week. I CHOOSE when I want to install it not the OS. Also generally very few pop ups and interruptions. I was playing a game and Windows decided it was the perfect time to pop up a notification in the middle of my full screen game when I was right in the middle of a difficlut boss. What the fuck Microsoft? Seriously ? Nobody thought that maybe perhaps when specific types of programs are running you wouldn't pop up some bullshit notification. I couldn't access it and it was 4 times larger than the notification on my desktop without the game runniing. I had to alt tab out of the game to shut that bullshit down. Linux doesn't do that. That alone is worth the price of admission.

A Lie There isn't anyone in the Democratic membership that has any quality or IMO ability to run against even a lower rung Republican. Much less soeone with some experience and abilty. They will loose as it is now. They will loose badly.

Funny how half a year changes things. I'm definitely switching to Linux for the new computer. Enough is enough. And I don't even use full windows, I'm always on the LTSC variety.
