  1. Yes... I might suggest that they also get a subforum for communications as well. They can talk and discuss etc at a particular level. So for lower levels ad free experience special color and ranks shown in the avatar on the left of the post for higher ranks they get access to private dedicated subform just for them. There they can do work on mods, update tutorials etc. Perhaps if they so choose they can even have their mods exclusive there.

1$ Ad Free recognized as supporter with Avatar to the left

2~4 $ Special Ranks (perhaps military etc)

5 and > Access to special forum section for communication, assistance, support, and even uploading mods for the exclusive use of supporters.

Each rank gets the announced benefits as well as all previous benefits as well.

Is there a way for a one-time donation? If so perhaps the above or something like that used for Patrons could be given to the member. Some might need to get a pre-paid credit card etc having monthly debts can cost and might be inconvenient. Paypal, bitcoin etc.

Just tossing this out there. A few ideas. Take what you like. :P

Oh.. perhaps open a Discord channel and allow those patrons and supporters exclusive access to that channel to chat and get support, discuss mods and gaming and have fun.

mmm... i'm kind of late for Christmas...  so, HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody !!! :big-smile:

Nonsense. Never to late to wish someone a Merry Christmas. If really late you can say you are early for the next one :P

It's just about time for New Year's resolutions. Hopefully next year I'll actually do that CBBE fishnet clothing conversion that I said was going to do. :cold-sweat

Make the resolution to have it done by our 20000th member... that is just around the corner at the rate we are going. :P

  4. Ah here. the death video that likely wouldn't ever be created today.

some of the footage is genuine. In their book Killing for Culture, authors David Kerekes and David Slater note that the nadir of the movie is the inclusion of an extreme fatal accident; "the shattered remains of a cyclist are seen under a semi-tractor trailer. The camera pans long enough to capture paramedics scooping up blood clots, brain matter, and clumps of hair from the tarmac – this incident is authentic and culled from newsreels.

  5. It is a silent hill reference. Slowly becoming more and more creepy. I am not interested in gore. This wasn't about gore it was about being creepy. If I want violent or gore I have seen many things far more gory than is on most videos today. Today's "gore" are cartoons compared to some of the gore that was produced for R-rated movies of the late 60's and early 70's. Trust me.  They use to have videos of people dying on film which today can't be distributed anymore. You want gore. Watch a video of someone getting run over and the after effects. Real effects. Not "special effects".  That is gore.

Some appetizers (that still might be available)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1242432/

Below is more violent and sexual.

The ways she exacts her revenge on her rapist is very graphics.

The above is one that I might be interested in seeing if I can find it.. :)  The actual original version that is. It was so realistic that the creator was arrested for murder as they believed the person was actually killed. No CGI here.

For the more erotic with gore ... The classic

Last time I tried I couldn't watch the entire movie... and the above isn't even a actual movie ... It can't be found in Youtube.

Anyway the OP was intended to be creepy not gore

Watch it if you dare. :P

What does it remind you of? I think it is pretty cool. Didn't see it for a bit until well into the movie. Can you see it?

  7. A few months ago I embarked on a wonderful experience playing Witcher 3. The only issue is I am not the best gamer under most situations and with Witcher 3's complex environment, lore and backstories not to mention the way the leveling is done in the game (Proper leveling... you can walk into a creature or event way above your level if you aren't careful. Only warning is some graphics that basically let you know you are going to get your ass handed to you if you aren't very careful, lucky, skilled or more likely all three in spades. :)

I tried to install the mods. I had serious issues. I am using the Origin version. It is way more complex than the "other company's" mod set ups. It requires some added work. Anyway I love the graphics, settings, quest (which have a shit ton of side quest that can take days of work to complete... something the "other company" should be looking at ;)  yes looking at you Bethesda! ) among the character development, A.I... Basically out of the box the game is terrific no need to make major changes at least not until I have 1000 or more hours in the game.

Well back to me getting my ass handed to me on a regular basis. It takes fair amount of time to really gain the skills necessary to time the hits and learn the equipment and tricks to take down those NPC/Creatures that are well above your level. It can be done but takes time. Not a button masher game. It is A REAL RPG!

Well I then learned how to set up the Debug Console and then it is just a matter of collecting the various commands I wish to use to help my game play and not have to play 8 hours on the same quest because I keep getting my ass handed to me.

    The set up is easy...

I'll leave the old themes up for the members who still want to use them.

Ah.. Is it still otherwise updated. (only pretty, pretty things? ) Will those users lose anything using the older themes?

Question on the current theme... wasn't the old "standard" wider? This seems thinner. Could be the color and fonts making it seem thiner

But then again the game might suck.  I won't be buying it until I see reviews and gameplay footage. ^_^

Yep.. wait until proper game reviews and actual game play footage is available. Enough that you can make an proper informed decision.

Here's some game play footage of the beta.  The guys doing it are are the top-tier devs of the game.  They don't know how to stream so it's kinda painful to watch them bumble through that, but the video shows character creation and some game mechanics.  And at 51:40 it shows the game options.  One of them is 'Maximum Nudity'. :D

I can accept them not being able to stream videos. :) They are actually confident enough to play their beta game in public. Besthesda can't even give review copies to their reviewers of FINISHED GAMES. :dark-mood:

4.1.17 is out but I'll run the upgrade late tonight. Edit: Decided to go ahead with the upgrade.

On a side note, I'm looking to buy a new theme for the forum and this one caught my eye.

Another nice one but I like titan more.

    What do you think?

Have you made a decision. Most seem to concur with your thoughts about Titan.

  11. The second one is nice and clean. However, the first one (your favorite) does look more like something that a gaming site would have for their forum software.

    Choice 2.png

In any case so long as things work and I can view and navigate the site...  I am a happy alien regardless of what forum software you decide to go. It is great that this site keeps fully updated. ;):P

Also you are awesome DZ for even considering allowing us to have a say in what we will be viewing. Not to mention wise :)

Can we update the guide per this: https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/1263324/gpu-memory-allocation-limit-on-directx9-windows-8

Boris (the ENBSeries guy) has mentioned in a few places now that people running Windows 8 and above (including Windows 10) will not be able to use the same strategy that Phase 3 uses to calculate the value for VideoMemorySizeMb.  Instead, the STEP folks have started recommending using the DX9 version of http://enbdev.com/download_vramsizetest.htm to figure out the true value.  It caps out at 4064 MB no matter how much VRAM and System RAM you have.

Sure if you or someone here wishes to make amendments I am authorized to add them to the tutorial. Currently, the OP isn't active and this likely won't be updated anytime soon. Write the update nice and brief and clear and get some approvals (testing from others) and I will add it to the OP as needed. Need to be sure of the updates to be sure it works properly before adding it to her works of course.

    Rags is almost always spot-on.  I don't care if he's a game trolling shit-lord.  I am too. :D

:( But I'm kinda a console peasant too now.  I bought a 1 terabyte XBoxOne S and a 24" 4k TV a few weeks ago.  After FO4 I see no reason to continuously upgrade my PC for the sake of modding or playing modded games.  That's Bethesda's territory and I'm 95% satiation with their bullshit anyway.  The upcoming games I'm interested in aren't being made by Bethesda and they will be on console.  Cyberpunk 2077 and ME Andromeda are calling my name. ^_^

I don't think even Rags would complain about your purchase because you aren't stating it is better than PCs or such. (perhaps he might punk you for the claim not to upgrade the PC instead putting that money into a console as you could have just upgraded the pc instead but.. :))

It makes sense to get a console for some games. Some games are awesome on consoles. You don't get much benefit from playing them from PC. (Mass Effect, Witcher 1,2,3) etc. except perhaps some cheat codes that isn't' available to be used on a console.

I don't because I would have to do the same. Get the console, TV and games. I really don't have a need for a TV and space for it either. If I want a console I can use my old xbone 360. (actually I have two and perhaps even three... for some reason the replicate. People give them to me lol)

I am interested in ME Andromeda as well.. However I will be dammed if I pre-purchase that game ;)

They are a broken company and has dragged the mod community down with it.

Fuck.. sorry for the double post. For some dam reason it wouldn't let me create a new paragraph. Guess the forum software hates Fallout 4 as well :P

Anyway I doubt they are broken. I believe it is more greed that is causing them to make these stupid decisions. They are trying to appeal to more fans buy adding all sorts of shit to the game in hopes to get more sales. Currently it is working however I hope they understand that will piss off the hard core fans and those are the ones that buy a dam pre-release or some stupid pip boy gimmick (sorry for anyone that got that. NOt directed at you being stupid :))

Lets understand the situation. Todd Howard I believe, worked on the previous games (Oblivion I think) and has been there all these years. He knows the fans, he knows what they want. They are choosing to do this. Which really should piss off people even more. This isn't some indy game developer or new person to the industry. This is a seasoned gaming company with 20+ years experience with GOTY winning games. They know better and thought they could shove shit down the throats of their fans and get more fans in the process. They failed. If they continue they will destroy what fan base they had. Lets face it if they create another game worthy of the fan love and admiration and GOTY worthy winner... their fans can forgive them. Many will and accept that it was an error and they learned from it. If they wait until they released 1, 2, 3 more games that are as much pieces of shit in relation to what is expected by their fan base. The fan base that will pre-purchase and pretty much pay whatever to get the games to support the company not some 12 year old punk that has some $$$ and don't have another game to buy at this time and is board. They will not likely win back their fan base... at all.

I don't remember if Mr House quests were part of the NCR and Legion story, but I got to about the 3rd Mr. House quest before I lost interest.

For a point you are working all the factions, much like what you do for Fallout 4.

What makes Fallout 4 so bad to me is that it's just a wannabe Mass Effect/Farcry game. I appreciated Fallout for it being its own thing, and Fallout 4 just doesn't seem like a Fallout game to me. I feel like in their minds they think that ME, Farcry and all these other AAA games with a voiced protagonist are the only way to go.

Instead of sticking with the formula that was very successful. :(

Also, what is sad is that Bethesda divided the mod community more than it could have ever been. Paid mods, console mod thievery, Fallout 4 and SSE, they all have created more of a separation.

By not understanding the modding community that they helped create with their games.

    Quote

I doubt Bethesda can do anything to mend the wounds.

They can. They can by going back to the tried and true formula with heavy RPG and deep fully developed characters with loads of interesting quest and side quest. Then add a few ideas that might work. Like the weapon and armor crafting that was generally quite well received

They aren't stupid. They know their formula. They know what was successful in the past and what is needed to create another Oblivion/Morrowwind Fallout 3 game. They chose to try to "grow" and expand that franchise. Great on paper however if not properly executed will result in horrible failure. The failure they call Fallout 4.   The
