The art style looks very Bethesda-FO4-in-space.  Totally underwhelming and 10 years behind the tech curve.  I'm not saying it needs to top The Order 1886 but GOW2 looks better than what's in that trailer.

Made by Bethesda, so you don't need to wait 1.5 years to find out it's shit as usual, same goes for TES 6. Considering what they've done with TES and Fallout series, it would be really naive to expect a better game or even a good game from Bethesda in the foreseeable future. In other words, you've already played the best games of these series many years ago, which can also be said for other titles as well as other studios.

I literally fell asleep in front of the monitor watching all the garbage shown in this presentation, guess it was when they started talking about Forza in Mexico or something and when I woke up I found out that "Redfall" wasn't the title for TES 6 as some people have been speculating but the title of a different game published by Bethesda, which was also shit.

I didn't see the Xbox exclusive. Bet that wasn't their intentions until *ahem* someone bought them. I guess that sucks for all their PC fans who wanted to mod this. Maybe the next Fallout and TES will follow suit.

I saw another video stating it was xbox exclusive. Is this for PC as well?

5:06;37 shows that this is an Xbox exclusive.

@endgameaddiction

It literally wrote "XBOX Exclusive" at the end of the presentation (21:30), but before that it also said Game Pass which included Windows 10 PC, which means it's going to be "Microsoft Exclusive" at least initially. So no Steam, GOG, or any other platform, very likely no Windows 7/8 either cause Game Pass only works on 10.

This is what the official page says:

Quote

Announced at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Starfield arrives exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC on 11.11.22. Play it day one with Xbox Game Pass.

As there's no mention of Steam or any other PC based platform (e.g. GOG, Epic, Origin), looks like you won't be playing it on November 11th unless you have a game pass subscription on XBox or on Windows 10 PC.

I saw your post on LL a moment ago and not surprisingly that dickhead 27X was again attacking three different people in one post for no reason, as he does in every single fucking useless posts of his and he gets away with it, while the other dickhead Doctasax, who considered my "don't insult us" post was "insulting", replied right under that post and completely ignored it. There are a lot of fucktards remained on LL, I'm glad I no longer post there. Post a screenshot of the video I linked if you want to reply that idiot's "reading is essential" post.

By the way, for all the retards out there, PC =/= Windows 10.

As for modding, how moddable is this game going to be still remains to be seen. I personally don't expect Bethesda to drop modding completely unless they switch to a completely different engine, but from what I understand certain mods as well as script extenders, mod organizers and other utilities may not work on Game Pass games.

I personally don't care, cause I have no intention to subscribe to Game Pass or use Windows 10. As I've said before, we've already played the best games most game devs can offer, things will get shittier and shittier in the future.

Yeah the "Xbox Exclusive" is what threw me off. I'm just going by what the presentation is showing.

I took a screenshot of it from the video I posted earlier, but not going to waste my time. I posted a sarcastic reply instead.

I'm not buying another XBox...I don't play the one I have now.  And I'm certainly not going buy new PC hardware or update jack shit considering what games are these days...broken at launch and/or woke propaganda.  And a Bethesda game you can't mod/fix?  Yeah no thanks,  I'll keep my $60, TODD.

If it remained as a Game Pass exclusive, that'd be 9.99 x 12 x 10 bucks (1200 USD) if you wanted to keep playing it for a decade, like Skyrim, assuming M$ didn't pull the plug on GP and kept the monthly subscription fee the same.

Galaxy, galaxy never changes...

"Another star system needs your help!"

Besides being buggy and outdated as any other Bugthesda game, I don't know what exactly people are expecting this game to be. It's going to be another one of those save this and that, find this and that kinda game with a lot of retarded quests and you'll have your typical quest giver NPCs telling you that you are the only hope, the only one who can do whatever it is to do while sitting on their asses, munching on the same loaf of bread, "What are you doing here? Go save the galaxy!"... and you're gonna have to pretend you're doing something important in a completely static, lifeless Bethesda game world, just like you did in Oblivion, Skyrim, FO3/4. It's nothing but a waste of time and you most likely won't have the "porn" to justify any of that.

I was listening to ArchCast and they mentioned Bethesda working on their own all-encompassing launcher (like Origin) before Starfield's release.

Just what the world needs. ANOTHER stupid launcher. 🥴 😆

"It's like 'Skyrim' in space."

That’s how Bethesda Game Studios Executive Producer Todd Howard described the upcoming game “Starfield” in an exclusive video interview with The Washington Post. “Starfield,” in development since 2017, represents the first new IP in 25 years for Bethesda, the video game studio behind the critically acclaimed action role-playing series “The Elder Scrolls” and “Fallout.” The new space-based role-playing game will be released Nov. 11 of 2022 for PC and Xbox Series X and S.

It's really baffling how easily people have forgotten all the crap Bethesda has pulled in the past couple of years, I mean, besides their usual. Paid mods controversy, the money grab "special" edition with the same exact bugs of "legendary", Creation Club and Atomic Shop controversies (P2W microtransactions, inflated prices, ripoffs, fake discounts), the great canvas shortage of 2018, those plastic rum bottles, to name a few. Yet, Howard and Hines still have the audacity to show their faces in a public event to promote yet another crappy product of theirs, which will most likely create a similar amount of controversies if not more. But who is to blame here? Them or their audience?

This is why I strongly believe the industry will never have another crash. There's already too much money involved in it and we're facing with a different mindset of people now vs. back then. Boycotting like standing up for the truth when it comes to politics is so controversial. OMG *rolls eyes* Like stop being so bitter and just accept things the way they are. Times have changed. You're missing out on good games.

Well.... there is another way. 🏴‍☠️

At this point I don't believe those idiots could write even a partially decent plot so I'll just assume it's trash like normal from the beginning. 🤣

That said the game itself may, and it's very big may, have some modding potential. If it's a bit like No Man's Sky but with FO4 style settlements (hopefully a hell of a lot more fleshed out than the garbage in FO4)... there could be some fun to be had here. FO4's main issue (aside from obvious stuff like stupid plot and a non-working dialog system) was it gets REALLY old building settlements in that hell hole. No matter how green you make it, it still ends up ugly. 🤣 This game may not have that problem so it may be more of a success.

But it's Bethsoft, so assume the worst and at least have a chance at a pleasant surprise. 🤣

It looks terrible, the frame rate was shocking, the flying looked super janky just as the leaks suggested and the AI looks as bad as FO4. Have another look at the combat, one AI doesn't even notice a full clip being emptied into him, another runs at the gun toting player with a knife and the one blown up with a grenade gets stuck in the scenery. Gameplay reveals tend to show the best of a new game, if this is the best I shudder to think what the worst is, there's even an NPC with his head on back to front, peak Bethesda.
